Ch. 1

Chapter 1. To The Beautiful You

Sujin's P.O.V

It has been 3 years since I left South Korea and now I am coming back. It feels new. It feels different. "Are you sure you're okay going back here?" Seojoon asked. He is my brother. "I'm sure." I said. Our van is already waiting for us outside the airport. "Welcome back, Ms. Suji." Our driver said. I just smiled.

I stared outside of the car window. A lot has changed here. Without even noticing, we were already home. Mom and dad are already waiting in front of the door. "Welcome home, honey." Mom said and gave me a tight hug. "Hi dad!" I said and gave him a hug. My dad has been in a stroke for a year now. One of the board members of our company tried to kill my dad by pushing him on the stairs. He ended up going to jail and my dad in a stroke. Half of his body is paralyzed and he can barely speak. As I hugged him, he smiled. It's has been a while since I saw my dad smile.

I went upstairs to my room. It's still the same; it's just that it's clean. I lay down my luggage on my bed and unpacked everything. I put my clothes inside my closet and the others to their proper places.

I noticed two picture frames underneath my night stand. It was a picture of me, Sooyoung and Yuna. They have been my friends since kindergarten. I already miss these two girls. The other picture frame...it's a picture of me and Jihan. I put the picture frame of my friends up on my night stand and hid the other one on my memory box.

Suddenly, someone knocked. "Come in!" I shouted.

"Did you already unpacked?" mom asked.

"Oh! Yes, mom."

"Do you want me to help you?"

"Nah. I'm fine."

"How's coming back here? Don't you feel strange or anything?"

"Well, it's kinda strange but I think I am fine staying here."

"You sure?"

"Yeah!"

"Well, if you need something just call me, okay?"

"Yes, mom."

She kissed my forehead and left. I finally finished unpacking my bags and cleaning everything. A while ago, Yuna called me and she wanted to meet me. I washed up and changed my clothes. I went down stairs. "Where are you going?" my brother asked.

"Oh! I'm going to meet Yuna and Sooyoung." I said.

"Do you know the way? I can drive for you."

"Nah. It's fine."

"Okay. Be safe and come home before dinner."

"Sure."

I went outside and walked to the nearest café to our village. They said that we would meet there. I was not even near from the café I can already see them waving their hands on the air. As I got inside the café, they ran up to me and gave me a tight hug. "We missed you, Suji!" they both said.

"Okay, I can't breathe!" I said.

"Oh, sorry." Yuna said. They let go of me and gave me a sweet smile. We took out order and talked for a while. "Yah! It's been a while you should tell us what happened to you in Japan." Sooyoung said.

"Well, I went to school there and I also took a training on my dad's company there." I said.

"Did you meet someone there?" Yuna asked.

"What?! No! I didn't someone there."

"Really?!" Sooyoung said.

"No one! I assure you that, guys. Um, you tell me what happened here."

"Well, nothing really fun happened here." Yuna said.

"Yeah. It's still the same. The school is the same." Sooyoung added.

"How's Jihan?" I said, as I took a sip from my coffee. They both looked at each other. "Well, Jihan changed. Out of everything here, Jihan changed completely ever since you left." Sooyoung said.

"He's always at the principal's office because of the fights that he is always in. He was almost expelled from school and her sister almost lost her job. He misses you every single day. He always asks us if how you're doing in Japan." Yuna explained.

"And Nara?"

"We haven't heard from Nara. She's at school but she's like a ghost." Yuna said.

I was late for dinner when I come back home. Mom and the maids were already cleaning the table when I came home. I quietly went upstairs and closed my door. I wore my pajamas and washed my face and brushed my teeth before going to sleep.

I jumped into my bed and took my phone. I scrolled through my twitter. Suddenly, I saw a post from Jungkook. It's a picture of our pinkies intertwined and held up in the blue sky. Always. This was from 3 years ago. I went up to my gallery and swipe through our old photos together. I miss him more the more I look at this pictures. It has been a long time since I saw him. I want to see him, I want to hug him, I want to touch him but I need to convince myself not to.

The next morning, I woke up early. I went for a morning jog around our village. After 10 laps, I went back home. I joined my dad for breakfast while mom is cooking for breakfast. "Where do you want to go today, Suji?" mom asked.

"I want to go back to school." I said.

"Oh, okay. Do you want to go to the science school near you Uncle's house or that girl's high school that your aunt went to?"

"I want to go back to my old school."

"Um, are you sure about that? Don't you want to enroll from other schools?"

"No. I want to go back to my old school."

"Okay."

After breakfast, I took a shower and dressed up. I went back to my school. I took the bus going there. I walked inside. I recognized some familiar faces. Some of the students there said 'hello' to me. I went straight to the faculty room. I knocked first and opened the door. Our P.E. teacher first saw me. "Omo! Suji, you're here!" he said.

The teachers went up to me and said 'hi' to me. "It's nice to see you again, Suji!" Ms. Park greeted. "You too, Ms. Ra On!" I said.

I enrolled here in my old school. Yuna and Sooyoung helped me for a while since it's their lunch break. "Yuna?" I said.

"Yeah?" she said.

"Is Jihan here?" I asked.

"He didn't come to school today." She said.

Sad enough I wasn't able to see him. Will I be able to bear if I see him again? It has been years since I saw him and the last time I saw him everything was wrong. The last time I saw him, he broke my heart. What will I do if I saw him again?

A/N: Hello everyone! This is an update. The last time I updated this i accidentally changed from 'the sound of your heart' chapter 1 and completely changed ch. 1. i wasn't able to retrieve back the old chapter one of ttby so i made a new one. i based this on chapter 2. i tried to recall everything since it has been a long time since i wrote this and i have trouble in remembering things but trust me i really tried to remember what happened on chapter 1. 

so here it is, chapter one of to the beautiful you. the story in this chapter changed but the main theme of the story didn't changed. i am really sorry if this things happened.
