It is said that mermaids have special abilities. That when humans touch a mermaid
She has the special ability to erase his memories if she chooses to. They can also turn their tears into pearls.
Like in any fantasy story the mermaids sometimes falls in love with a human
And it's a deep love that they even choose to follow their true love and leave their own world.
But there is something important, if the human they love never gets to love them the same way at the end the mermaid dies.
