"Yeah who is it anyway?" He yelled back. I decided not to answer him since he'd find out in a matter of seconds anyway. I pinned up some of my curls, dabbed on some lip gloss and sprayed a bit of perfume. I grabbed my silver and purple clutch and walked out to the living room where my brother was talking to Sean about........football, of course.
"May I interupt. Sean we should go."
"Wow you look gorgeous. Why in such a hurry? Can't wait for our date?" He said looking me up and down smirking.
"To be over yes. The sooner we leave the sooner I get back." I said walking over to the door grabbing my keys and cell.
"Now remember you two always use protection." My brother said smiling at us. I grimaced.
"Don't I always." Sean responded smirking. I grimaced again.
"Alright horn dog let's go. And remember I don't put out on the first date." I said looking over my shoulder as I walked out the door.
"Oh I remember. You don't put out at all." He said catching up to me and getting into his truck after opening my door for me.
"Such a gentleman."
"I heard the sarcasm in that."
"You were meant to." I said coldly.
"Alright let's go." He said ignoring the bite in my voice as he backed out of the driveway and drove off.
10 minutes later..........
"Stella's out to get you." I said looking out the window.
"Wait? What? Why?" He said looking at me confused then looking back at the road.
"Because I told her about your bet."
"My bet? You mean our bet. What's so wrong with it?"
"No not our bet."
"What are you-oh." He said realizing what bet I was talking about.
"She's determined to stop you from breaking other girls' hearts."
"You told her about that summer?" He asked quietly.
"Yep. About an hour after your party. The three of us got into a fight and are now not talking to each other."
"Wait three?"
"Stella, Maya, and I. Just wanted to let you know that on top of everything you've done to me you're also the reason my friends and I are not currently speaking to one another."
"Good to know." We were silent after that for about 20 minutes. "I didn't tell anyone." He said so quietly I almost didn't hear him.
"I know. It's probably for the best."
"I'm so sorry for what I did to you. You didn't deserve it. At all. I want to try and make it up to you." He said reaching over and taking hold of my left hand; I didn't pull away, and just let him hold it. As he did that I thought to myself You're not sorry. We arrived 30 minutes later.
"Oh My Gosh! It's the bowling alley!"
"Yep I thought it would be appropriate."
"I can't believe you remember! I can't believe you still remember!"
"How could I forget our first date? Especially when it took me that long to ask you out." We got out of the truck and just stood there side by side.
"I don't know whether I should punch you for being a jerk or kiss you for being so romantic."
"I'd go for the kiss." He said smirking. I went up on my tiptoes and lightly kissed him on the lips. "I was going for something a little more filled with passion, but that'll do ... for now."
"Maybe later if you've earned it." I said smirking. He took my hand and we walked into the bowling alley.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"HA! I'm beating you!" I said sticking my tongue out at him.
"Just because you have been lucky enough to roll nothing but strikes and spares." He said crossing his arms over his chest.
"It's not luck it's skill! Accept it you're gonna lose!"
"Am not!" He said defiantly. He threw his ball down the lane. It went straight into the gutter.
"You wanna rethink that last statement?" I said smiling at him.
"Nope but I will do this." He said running over to me picking me up twirling me around setting me back on my feet and kissed me. Just a small peck on the lips, nothing huge, but it was all that was needed. It was happening again, just like last time, and I knew what was about to happen just like I knew I shouldn't do it, and I knew I was gonna do it anyway. He stepped back and said "Rose I'm sorry! I couldn't help it I'm so sorry I -" I took a step forward.
"Shut up and kiss me." Apparently that's all he needed to hear me say.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We pulled into my driveway. He got out and opened my door taking my hand and walking me to my front door. I kissed him and then looked into his beautiful green eyes.
"I was serious about wanting to make it up to you." He said holding both my hands in his.
"You know all won't be forgotten. I can't just forgive you after one date. It doesn't work that way. It's going to take time." I said quietly.
"I know. Take all the time you need." He said kissing me again. "Goodnight Rose."
"Goodnight Sean." I went inside and locked the door. As I leaned against it I thought about tonight. I let him in again and I don't know what that means. For me, for him...for us.
"Hey I'm going over to Tyler's." Clark said breaking me away from my thoughts.
"It's a school night."
"We don't have school tomorrow Rose. I'm all packed, did all my homework, I'll see you Sunday. Oh and there are two people waiting to speak to you in your room, and by the way you're welcome."
"I didn't say thank you."
"You will. Text me if you need me. Bye." He said closing the door behind him. I walked down the hall to my room to see who was waiting for me.
*Alrighty so that took longer than was initially expected but it's done. Vote and comment please I would like to know your thoughts.*
