And this is when the feeling sinks in,
I don't wanna miss you like this,
Come back... be here, come back... be here.
I guess you're in New York today,
I don't wanna need you this way,
Come back... be here, come back... be here

Come Back... Be Here- Taylor Swift

Today's school day had been long and boring for Barry so it was a relief to be back in his own room away from painful memories of Caitlin. Although, every time he thought that he was reminded that so many more memories were hidden away in his room. Perhaps they would be studying or just hanging out, watching a movie or maybe just cuddling, even the passionate nights they would spend in bed.

Everything was a reminder of Caitlin. Mostly because whenever he even thought of his life she would creep in or whenever he thought about anything. She was his life and nowhere was safe from the memories.

And as he logged onto Skype instantly a call from Caitlin flashed onto the screen.

"Hey," she greeted nervously. It seemed that there was something on her mind. Perhaps, something she wanted to say, maybe something that could hurt him.

"Hey," Barry replied, smiling at her whilst she bit down on her lip, letting him know that something was wrong without words. He just knew. "What's up? Don't lie to me. I can tell when you do that too," he asked, noticing her blush at the mention of how well he knew her making his heart swell.

"Don't freak out and I know that you will. I know you too," she spoke after letting out a shaky breath, which worried him further. "There is this guy. He's called Hunter Zolamon and my mother and his mother are trying to set us up. Like, as a couple," she continued, her words making Barry's heart constrict at the end of every word. Some other guy was trying to steal his place in Caitlin's heart while he was gone. She wouldn't fall for him, would she?

"Oh..." he sighed in shock, insecurity, and doubt running through his mind.

"Barry! No, no, no! It's not like that at all! I don't like him at all. I love you, Barry. You are the only one I want. No one else," Caitlin assured, trying to diffuse the doubt, practically reading his mind.

"I know. I.." he paused, trying to think of an appropriate reply. "I just don't like the idea of some other guy trying to take you away from me. I know it sounds selfish but I don't think I could cope without you with me. It's hard enough as it is and I... I just can't lose you, Cait,"

"And you won't. You are the only man for me. Nothing and I repeat nothing, will stop me loving you," she replied with the sweet smile that he had always loved.

"Caitlin!" a loud feminine voice was heard through the speaker. Caitlin's mother.

"Oh no, I have to go. My mom is insisting that I need new dresses. For dinner with The Zolamon's," she rolled her eyes in sarcastic disgust as she uttered the words, giving Barry a little reassurance that she truly was not attracted to this Hunter at all. "I love you," you smiled then blew a kiss before ending the call.

"I love you too," he whispered, despite the fact that he knew full well that she could hear him. He also knew that it was preposterous to even consider that she was interested in Hunter but it had always been insecure, and in his worse days, even jealous.

"Hey, Barry. This came in the mail for you today. Looks like it's from New York," Henry Allen announced as he entered the room and left the letter on the edge of the bed, knowing full well that the letter was from the lovely Caitlin, the young woman that he was sure that would be his future daughter-in-law.
