{I:7} Forever

48 11 13

We all want something,
Either big, small or average,
Rest eludes us and anything
Else can't serve as leverage.

We want more than we have
We get less than we want
We work hard a day and half
Yet we never get out of want

Thinking to try harder,
We push our poor souls,
Beyond limits so tender,
And when we fail, we fall

We get to the zenith of us
Rest however still eludes
In confusion we pause
Thinking of what we did wrong

No, mi amoor,
We did no such thing as wrong
We are made to live
This life in restlessness

We want what we don't know
We hunt what we can't have
The wise take the moment now
The fools wait to hope for forever,

The hard truth however remains,
It with all it entails,
Every creation made for forever
Must go through a while ever

For we are mortals, not gods,
We are humans not idols,
And so we will ever be,
Till the end of time.

Waiting for a forever,
That has already begun.

Tophie's Note

Hi! Here comes Forever....

I'd really appreciate it if you guys vote & comment your thoughts on any poem you like. It serves as a source of encouragement to me and its really not that hard. All you gotta do is click on the little star (it doesn't bite) at the end of a poem & voila! It turns orange. Next, this is tricky. The little box! It opens up to this awesome place where whatever you write gets to me.

I hope you try it!! Thanks!!
