Chapter Seven: Day In Rukongai

In another area of Rukongai, were four teenagers just looking for trouble. A devious plan in the works and now to be played.

The four teenagers were each in their positions. Marcos, who was scouting the warehouse on a roof nearby. Kevin was ready with a bag to fill the stolen goods, while Ash was the one to start the distraction and Nozomi well, she was the distraction.

Marcos was the scout for he was short, not to mention he had long black hair. This made him ideal to hide and camouflage on top of the building without being noticed; since the roof top matched his brown clothes.

Kevin was the fastest of the four, having long legs and all, so it made sense for him to go in and 'take' the food. After all, it was for a good cause.

Nozomi and Ash were the distraction because the two were great at creating scenes for a diversion.

They were all ready and Ash raised his hand to signal that the operation had begun. Nozomi and him began to walk inside the warehouse that was full of food and items. As they were looking through the shelves, Nozomi purposely collapsed onto the floor.

Ash screamed, "Some one,help! My wife, she's dying! Someone please help!!!"

All of sudden some heads turned towards them, but not all. Ash seeing this, quickly added, "Please, she's pregnant!"

That grabbed everyone's attention and soon the two were surrounded by everyone in the building. All of which were yelling and asking questions. This annoyed Ash, but he still played his part by seeming sad and desperate.

Meanwhile Marcos noted the actions and signaled Kevin, who then ran as fast as he could grabbing and stuffing his bag with necessary items for the orphanage.

As for Ash and Nozomi, they were having bad luck, one of the souls there was a doctor and checked the acting girl.

"This girl, she is neither pregnant or dying, what type of game do you think this is?!" She questioned angrily.

"Umm, well you see, my brother and I thought there should be more laughs around here." Nozomi laughed as she got up, then noticed the mistake she had made.

"Well, we should get going, next shows at eight!" Ash said comically and quickly grabbed her hand and ran towards the exit.

"What a weird couple... or siblings." The owner said, then on the corner of his eye he noticed a kid with dark skin and curly black hair stealing his merchandise.

"Hey, you! What do you think you're doing!!" He shouted.

Kevin quickly stopped and began to run towards the exit, dodging the owner and the crowd. As he reached the exit he signaled Marcos and they both began to run towards the orphanage.

The four laughed as they were reaching their destination, congratulating each other on the success of their mission .

"You should've seen the look on everyone's face while you were 'passed out' Nozomi." Marcos told the emerald haired girl as the sun hit his brown skin.

"Psh, the face of the clerk was better when he saw me taking his goods!" Kevin bragged.

"I bet they were both funny guys, but remember the reason why we did this." She said.

"Oh, come on, lighten up, I know we did it for the orphanage but it was still fun." Kevin told her and proceeded to hug her. Ash glared at him with eyes of an over protective brother. Those eye's always gave Kevin the chills.

"Here, if you want to hug something, hug the bag that you're suppose to be carrying." Ash threw the bag to Kevin.

"Doesn't really matter, we're here." Marcos pointed at the orphanage.

It used to be an old stone hospital but it was abandoned a long time ago, but it still stood strong and provided shelter to the children that were abandoned by their parents.

This place had provided Nozomi and Ash a place to stay as they searched for their parents. They still did, but it felt hopeless now. They at least had become friends with Marcos and Kevin.

Nozomi opened the door to see the eyes of many children widen at the sight of a big bag of food. It may not have been much but to them it was like Santa brining them presents.

An elder women, the caretaker, smiled at the four teens and happily said, "Thank you so much, if it wasn't for the four of you the children would be in an eternal starving state."

"Your welcome ma'am its not that big of a deal." Ash smiled at her.

"Oh, but it is, please come in, we may not have much but we have to celebrate." Her eyes pleaded towards them. The teens were about to accept when a muscular man with long greaser hair came.

"Come on guys, don't decline my grandmothers offer, plus we should get to know each other more." His smile said them but his eye's were looking towards Nozomi. She threw up a bit on the inside.

"Well I'm in, what about you guys." Marcos said towards the group.

"We may as well." Ash gave in.

"Then lets get partying!!" Kevin said too enthusiastic.

The group split, with Nozomi and Ash left together, until the muscular greaser went to talk to Nozomi. Ash left them staring at his sister to be careful, she stared back with confident eye's saying don't worry.

The party went on for an hour with everyone having fun except for a green haired girl. She had to listen to the guy-whose name was Edgar- talk about his "interesting life".

He began to flirt with her miserably, "So maybe you should stay here and stay with a hot guy like me..." She tried to ignore but he wouldn't stop, a vein on her forehead began to appear. His uninteresting life she could handle but this really bad flirting was annoying her beyond means.

Meanwhile Marcos noticed this and told Ash, "Hey bro looks like that guy is flirting with your sis."

"Don't worry about it." Ash explained calmly, and began to walk towards the door, leaving a confused Marcos behind.

Back with Nozomi she was having enough of this stupidity, her breaking point was when he said, "You know, that dress compliments your body nicely."

He tried to grab her waist when he lost air, the girl kicked him in the stomach, making him land on his knees. She then forcefully palmed his head, making him fly. On cue Ash opened the door. making fly some more.

"Pervert." She said with a disgusted look. "Come on lets go guys."

They all agreed and quickly gave their thanks to the elder for the small party and headed out the door. The group then began to walk towards the tiny camp.

As they walked, Nozomi noticed a huge storm off the countryside. From her eyes it looked small, but she knew it was big, they were, after all, far away from him.
