Words sweet as honey in my mind
End of the night as I start to unwind
Thinking of things that are not so kind
But I've got to let this out
Truth stings to protect itself
Warrior bees in perfect health
No matter where I look I'm attracted to
All the same flowers that the hive wants
Let me taste God on a Sunday morning
While the queen looks on and smiles
Grant me innocence for one full day
Reconcile me in the morning hours
Weak little bee will take
Sugar from a spoon
A flower from a snake
Starved for love in the saddest way
Honey changes taste depending on the bees
Depending on the nearby flowers and trees
Which is sweetest is something I don't know
But abstaining doesn't help the flowers grow
