Peter Parker x Short!Reader~ ♡Someone like you

Start from the beginning

For these nearly two weeks your relationship with Peter grew a lot. You could see that he changed, he stood up for a girl whose poster was destroyed by Flash, he gave the bully a lesson, even if it ended for Parker worse than for Flash. He was more confident, he was teasing more, smirk replaced his smile most of the time. Though you still really liked him and you had a huge crush on him. So you were pretty excited when it was hour of you date with Peter. You were supposed to meet with him in the park, most of your classmates were hanging out there. And so you were sitting on the bench, with - like always - your camera that your father gave you. Peter should be there in any moment. That's what you thought for the first 30 minutes. After another hour you thought you mixed the hours and maybe you were supposed to meet him later. But when he was late for over 2 and half an hour you decided to call him. He didn't respond. You were sitting like a dork on this bench, waiting for him like stupid.
"What? Waiting for your nerd lover?" Flash Thompson. Of course it was him. Who else? "Quick info for you - he's with Gwen Stacy." You raised your eyebrow and Thompson showed you a photo posted by Gwen two hours ago. Peter was in the picture with her. They were eating ice cream in other part of the city. "You should learn by now, runt, that no one likes dwarves." His buddies laughed and high fived him as you gulped, holding tears. God you were so stupid. You really thought Parker liked you and he was just making fun of you, like everyone else. Your heart was ripped apart right now. He was even worse than Flash. At least Flash was honest. You bit your lip, as tears fell from your face. You grabbed your camera tighter and ran to your home quickly.
"Hey sweetie, how was your-" Grandma greeted you in the kitchen, but paused when she saw you "-date... Oh my, did he do something to you?" You shook your head, then nodded, shook your head again. "Come now, tell me everything sweetheart." You shook your head.
"N-No. No, it's... it's nothing. I'm just more naive than I though I am." You bit your lip and left the camera on the table, heading to your room. You fell on your bed and grabbed a pillow, crying silently in it. If he just told you he liked Gwen and he changed his mind, you would understand even if it would hurt a little. Or he could send a text or call that he can't come... no. You had to find out like this. God you were so naive... not anymore.

You ignored him for the rest of the day and Saturday, ignored his texts and calls. At Sunday you just texted him you're not feeling well and you have to be alone for some time. But you couldn't avoid him at Monday in school. Unfortunately. Of course Flash was making fun of you, like always, but this time about something else. About you being so stupid to believe someone liked you, to be so naive. And that even Parker could see that you're just a midget and nothing else. You were struggling with your locker, you couldn't open it and you had only few minutes to next lesson. Suddenly someone touched your arm and you jumped starled. Peter.
"Let me do it." He smirked and grabbed the door of the locker. And opened it. By REMOVING WHOLE DOOR. "S-Sorry, I'll fix this!"
"Great. Just great." You mumbled annoyed as he tried to fix your locker. He did. You didn't even want to know how. You grabbed your books, turned away and walked away quickly. Well, tried to, because Peter grabbed your arm.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He was seriously going to continue this crap? You sighed heavily and glared at him.
"Really?" You asked and he raised his eyebrow. "Just cut it off. I'm not that naive anymore, Parker." You turned away and walked away, quickly.
Lesson passed and you just left the class. You were heading to your locker to leave your books there and grab other ones, when someone literally bumped into you hard, making you fall on the floor, getting attention of the whole hallway. You touched your head, you hit it hard with the floor.
"Ha! Nice one Parker!" Someone yelled and you froze. You raised your gaze. Peter. It was Peter who bumped onto you. Other started to smile at Peter, congratulating him like he did something great. And you just glared at him, deeply hurt. And that was worse when you saw your camera. Destroyed camera. Only thing you've left from your father. You cursed under your breath, trying to collect pieces of your camera, your books and papers. Then someone touched your arm.
"Don't touch me!" You hissed moving away, glaring at Peter. "Leave me alone already. I can't be late." You mumbled putting pieces of your damaged camera into your bag.
"(Y/N) I-"
"What part of 'leave me alone' you don't understand? Cut the crap, Parker, God you're worse than Flash!" You snapped standing up.
"Hey, I didn't do it on purpose, it was an accident!" He snapped back.
"Oh really? You still- You know what? I give up. I've had enough, I'm tired of this." You sighed and you were about to turn away, but Peter grabbed your arm.
"Of what, (Y/N)?!"
"One word. Friday." His eyes widened after few seconds. "I was waiting for few hours, you know? Flash was so nice that he kept me company. His comments were quiet... original. And he showed me Gwen's photo from Friday. With you."
"(Y/N) I'm so sorry, I totally forgot I-"
"Save it, Parker. I guess Flash is right. I really should accept the fact that no one could be nice to me for real." And after saying this you left him in the hallway, heading to your class.
After few lesson you went on a lunch to the canteen. It was pretty calm, quiet, nothing unusual. You finished your food quickly and was about to leave the building for the rest of the break but something happened. Something pretty bad. You bumped right onto Flash Thompson and his food was now on his shirt. All over it.
"Oh my God..." You whispered as everyone froze. "Flash, Flash I'm so sorry, I-I-I didn't mean to- I didn't do it on purpose I swear! It was an accident!" Flash was red on his face, literally. He had tomatoe sauce on his face. Everyone was watching you and Flash right now, silent. You could see the guy getting more angry with every second.
"You watch where are you going, stupid runt!" He raised his fist and you shrieked, closing your eyes, waiting for the punch, but nothing happened. Peter grabbed Flash's wrist in the last moment. "Stay out of this, Parker." Flash warned with a low voice. "I'm warning you."
"No, I'm warning you. It was an accident, she already apologized and you're going to hit her? Hit a girl?" You blinked and looked at Peter surpised. Just like everyone, you were pretty shocked.
"Why are you standing for this runt now, huh? You're no better than me!"
"But I didn't do that on purpose!" Peter snapped and pushed Flash away from you. Finally Thompson gave up and went to the bathroom, before you could say anything to Peter, he vanished, leaving you in the canteen. You bit your lip. Maybe you overreacted a bit... maybe you were wrong and he really did forgot... You sighed. It will be a long day.
