Chapter 5

Frida.
I need to know who she is and why does Wendy want Arthur.
Like if she's upset because of the Ouija board game we played, she would have asked for Lily as well.

I have to talk to Arthur.
Well I had been on leave from school since a week maybe.
I had to resume going to school.
The next day I got ready as soon as I could.
As soon as I reached my class Lily gave me a hug.

"Lisa! Where were you? Is everything okay?", she asked.

"Yes. Everything's fine. Just that we moved into another house so I was busy.", I said.
I couldn't tell her about the exorcism and all that happened in that house.

"Again? You just moved in here", she asked.
"Yeah. Somehow things were just getting worse." I said.
Suddenly I remembered, "Lily you were there with me and Arthur when we used that Ouija board! You very well know what was going on there.", I said.

"Me? No Lisa. I haven't visited your house even once", she said.

"Are you kidding me? You even fainted that day. Don't you remember?", I almost screamed.

She didn't say anything but called Arthur.
He was there in a minute.
"Arthur when did I come with you to Lisa's house?", she asked him.

"Never. I went alone", he said.
"Arthur? Why are you lying? She was right there! Don't you remember when she talked about your Grandpa", I asked.

"Lisa. Nothing of this sort happened. I guess you aren't well.", he shrugged.

What the hell is going on with me.
Why are they both lying?
There's definitely something wrong.
I can make that out from Arthur's voice.

I knew it wasn't easy to get information out of him.
I just said, "Chuck it. You know what! My mom's younger sister gave birth to a baby girl last night. I'm so happy", I lied.

This was an instant lie that came to my mind.
"Hey that's great! Congrats",Lily said giving me a hug.

"Congrats", Arthur said with a smile.
"Thanks", I responded.
"So what are you gonna name her?", Lily asked.
"Well her mom is really confused between two names. She thinks Frida and Alex are equally great names.", I lied, again.

"Hey. Frida is Arthur's Grandma's name", Lily said.
"Frida is a beautiful name. I would like to meet your Grandma Arthur", I said.

"She is dead.", he said and left.

Exactly what I wanted to know.
Frida is Frida Louis, Arthur's grandmother.
But it won't be easy to get information out of Arthur.
I asked Lily, "Since how long do you know Arthur?"
"Since I'm five", she said.

"Okay. How did his Grandma die?", I asked.
"I don't know. It's said that she was found lying lifeless in her bed one morning", she said.

"And his Grandpa?", I asked further.
"He died in a peculiar way too. Nobody knows the reason." , Lily said.
"And how do you know that?", I asked.
"I know everything Lisa. I have been here ever since my birth", she said.

There was something strange about her.
"Where do you live Lily?"
"In  St. Stephen's Street, Plot Number 13.", she said with a smile.

After school got over I decided to have a look at Lily's house.
It was not too far from my house.
Finally we reached plot No. 13.
A vacant building? How is this possible?

I opened the main gate with a lot of effort since it was jammed.

It seemed like that building was abandoned since a very long time.
I went inside.
I tried to open the gate that would lead me indoor, but it was locked.
I could see a window which was open.
I somehow managed to get inside the house.

I wish I could just ask someone about Lily's house, except Lily.
Maybe she gave me the wrong address.
But I don't have any other friend except Lily and Arthur.
I haven't tried talking to anyone else.
They are just so weird.
Always laughing at me as if I'm some clown.

I explored the rooms.
It was dusty and dirty everywhere.
Suddenly I stumbled upon something.
It was a photograph.
A photograph of Arthur, Lily and an old couple.

I don't have much to say today because honestly I am a bit upset.
Because I'm putting so much efforts into this story and some people are trying to copy it.
There have been two such instances.
I would just like to say that I am not interested in creating a mess, so it would be good if you come up with your own ideas.
Copyright infringement is ILLEGAL.

Copying the entire plot and just changing the names won't work my friend.
Learn to respect the efforts, time and patience that a writer puts into his/her work.
