ROSE'S POV

I calmed myself down. I was going to be fine. This was just another chapter in my life, I could ace it.

"Here we are" I opened my eyes, and looked out of the window.

Platform nine and three quarters. We were here.
"You nervous Rosie?" Dad asked, parking the car.

"No daddy." I said confidently.
I was a bit jittery, sure, but not nervous. Mum and Dad had told me all about Hogwarts and the professors. It sounded like an amazing place, and since Al was coming with me and I had already memorized all my books by heart, I wasn't nervous.

I got out of the car and helped Dad with the luggage while Hugo and mum walked ahead.

"Okay, Rosie remember, we have to run straight into the barrier. No need to be afraid you're not going to crash into it. Okay?" Mum asked me, looking pale. I could see that she was way more nervous about this entire ordeal than I was, afterall, she was returning to this place after years, but only this time to bid goodbye to her daughter.

"Yes mum" I smiled as I started running towards the barrier.

I opened my eyes when I felt myself passing through a curtain. What I saw took my breath away. My eyes could only spot the Hogwarts express whose thick, white steam obscured most of the things. As the rest of my family followed, we went to stand beside the very last carriage. I hungrily took in the view in front of my eyes. I smoothened my robes and tried to flatten my wild Granger hair, suddenly feeling self conscious. I was wondering where the Potters were when someone tapped on my shoulder.

"Hi". Turning around, I saw Albus Severus Potter, my favourite cousin and my best friend standing in front of me sounding immensely relieved. We hugged each other and started up a random conversation about Station parking metres, which unsurprisingly died down pretty soon.

As my father and uncle Harry started talking about something I couldn't make a head or tail out of, I looked at Al, he looked very nervous to me.
I positively beamed at him and diverted my attention to the conversation that Hugo and my little cousin Lily were having, about which house they'll get in when they finally went to Hogwarts.

"If you're not in Gryffindor we'll disinherit you. But no pressure" Dad joked, but fear plagued me. What if I was not in Gryffindor? Would my father really disinherit me?

"Ron!" Reprimanded my mum.
"He doesn't mean it Rosie." She said catching the fear in my eyes. But dad wasn't listening, catching uncle Harry's eye, he nodded covertly to a family some 50 yards away.

"Look who it is." Dad pointed, as we all turned to see the family. Draco Malfoy, a man I recognized from my father's stories, as someone he very passionately despised. He was standing with his wife and son, both frail and tall with a pale face and grey eyes.

"So that's little Scorpius" Dad muttered under his breath. He leaned down and looked at me, "Make sure you beat him in every test Rosie. Thank god you've inherited your mother's brains"

"Ron, for heaven's sake" Mum Reprimanded, half stern, half amused. "Don't turn them against each other before they've even started school!"

"You're right, sorry" Dad apologized half heartedly, but unable to help himself, he added, "Don't get too friendly with him, though Rosie, granddad Weasley will never forgive you for marrying a pure-blood."

I looked at the boy as dad said this. Would he really match his father as dad had told me in his stories? Would he also be an 'egotistic jackass' as dad put it? Would he pick on Muggleborns and Gryffindors too? He seemed alright to me though, perhaps even a little sad too, I was busy studying the boy when I realized that the boy was looking at me with a frown on his face. I flushed and quickly turned away just in time for James's arrival.

"Hey!" Yelled James. "Teddy's back there, just seen him! And guess what he's doing? Snogging Victoire!"

I snorted at James's excitement, earlier this week, Roxy and I had accidentally walked into a rather heated 'session' of theirs, and we had been sworn to secrecy by Teddy. He didn't want the let anyone get to know like this. Teddy was sure he loved Viccy and wanted to tell all of us when she was ready.

I reached up and pecked Mum, Dad and Hugo on the cheek and got on the train as Dad helped my with my trunk. I waved to my parents and dashed inside the train.

Cramming to get a look at the people on the train, I saw Fred, uncle George's son, Molly and Lucy, uncle Percy's daughters, Vic, Dom and Louis, uncle Bill's children and Alice Longbottom. My bestfriend, uncle Neville's daughter.

I waved at aunt Ginny as Albus got onto the train.

Suddenly, the whistle sounded and the train started moving. I waved goodbye to mum (who was bawling), dad (who was trying very hard to hold back his tears), and my various other relatives who smiled happily at me and waved. I bounced up and down on my seat next to Ali and Al.

This was it. We were off to Hogwarts.
