Nandini's POV
"Aur Manik, phir kya hua?" Navya di asks Manik, and here im irritated, actually Navya di and Cabir that is Manik's brother are engaged and she wants to ask him everything about his childhood, because it's a arranged marriage and that's how me and Manik met, we actually dislike each other, maybe not for me but he might hate me.
"Guys aap logo ka khatam Hogaya to I want to sleep" I say in a fustrated tone
"Mein apni bhabhi se baat kar raha ho" he says making me roll my eyes
"Bhabhi? Un logo ki abhi tak shahdi bhi nahi hui hain okay? Aur woh pehle meri di hain" I argue back
"I swear Maine tume sahi name diya tha, Nandini badtameez" what me and badtameez
"Same here, I'm glad I named your monster Manik!!" I shout back
"Shut up how dare you!"
"You shut up!"
"Guys guys!!! Please stop kya bacho ki tara ladte rehete ho" di stops us, I finally give up.
"Ok Bhabhi I need to go bye goodnight" he says and stands up I roll my eyes.
"Goodnight Manik" di bids him
He walks but stops at me and whispers "Nandini Badtameez"
I look at him with a angry face "Monster Manik"
So as you can see this is our chemistry right now, we argue with each other but from inside I know his a good person, I always feel attractive towards him.
"Nandu!" My di shouts
"Kya di?" I pout
"Manik apna phone yahi bhool gaya, ja jaake dekhe aah" my di says, wow
"Di lekin" I try to get out of doing the job
"Nahi jaa mujhe kaam hain" she orders
"Fine" I couldn't deny
His room was a bit far away since it was a big house and we all lived here before marriage so the families get to know each other.
I knock on his door
"Coming" I hear him.
As soon as he opens the door I trip on something and he catches me and I fall on him, the next thing I knew our lips touched, WE JUST KISSED, after we pulled apart he stared at my face for a bit
I quickly get up, and fix up my clothes
"Yuck" I hear him say, a tear slipped down my eyes, I don't know it hurt me so much when he said that.
"I- I'm sorry your phone, I came to return it you, I don't know how this im sorry" I hesitated throughout, but ran out as soon as I completed.
Shit what just happened, not only I lost my first kiss, but that to Manik the one I have always disliked, when his lip touched mine I felt a spark inside me, did I like it maybe? Wait no !!
Manik's POV
Her lips felt do smooth, but I dont even know 'yuck' just slipped out of my mouth, I think she felt so bad after.
*next day*
I came down to the breakfast table, and there she was helping her sister serve food.
She came to me "do u want this?" She asks softly
"Uh yes" I saw awkwardly
"Tum logo ko kya Hogaya hain, pehle toh har baat pe ladte the, ab kya hua? Dono chup kyu ho aaj?" Nandini's mum asks us
"Woh mumma, nothing like that mein aati hoon" she walks away, is she upset because of me, I really need to talk to you.
"I done" I say and get up from the table and make my way towards Nandini's room
I knock on her door, but she doesn't awsner, I decide to walk in!
I saw her sitting on the bed, her back was turned to me
"Nandini" I say, as she looks at me and quickly wipes her tears away, wait was she crying I have never seen her cry, and this is actually because of me.
"You could have knocked before coming in gosh!" She shouts at me, but i did knock
"I did knock" I argue back
"Well knock louder" she says
"Why do you think it's always my fault" I ask her
"Because it is" she rolls her eyes.
"Really but that kiss,it was because your weren't looking where your were going" I say and she gets shocked, maybe because she never thought I would bring up that topic
"Acha, lekin you hurt me, I know it was a accident but was it necessary for you to say yuck?" She asks me, I melt down at that.
"No I never meant to I mean, Pata nahi nikal gaya I don't know" I hesitate
I walk near her, she got scared as I was really close to her, her cheeks turned red.
"Im sorry" I apologised, as she looked at me with amusement, I don't blame her I never talked to her nicely
"But I actually always wanted to do" this" I say before she could say anything I smashed my lips on to hers, first she wouldn't move her lips due to shock but after she gave in,
"Manik?" She said after we pulled apart
"I don't why I feel this way towards you, I know we fight alot and but I always need you around me, I just feel something a spark of love when your with me" she gets shocked due to my confession
"Manik... how I mean we always fight but and you even said yuck after the accidental kiss" she says.
"But we should give it a try you know" I say pressing my lips together
"I think so, but one condition" she says, I wonder what
"Hmm what?"
"You need to stop calling me Nandini Badtameez" she says making me laugh out loud.
"And stop calling me monster Manik!" I fire back
"Deal" she says and bring her hand out for a handshake, but instead I hug her.
"I honestly really like you don't ever break my trust" she says to me while hugging
"Pakka promise" I kiss her on the forehead.
