I sat up from the floor and had a sharp pain in my foot. I looked to my foot and saw a black shadow. "What the hell?" I thought to myself. I kept ignoring the pain in my foot and hopped up onto my bed. The pain in my foot suddenly stooped and the shadow disappeared. I grabbed my phone of my night stand and looked at my notifications only to see 4 messages from Carter. I open our chat and saw these messages

I rushed to my dresser pulled out my usual cloths a pink t-shirt with my black skinny jeans a pair of white socks and my red sneakers. I run downstairs and grab my black sweatshirt. "Good morning Jess." my grandma says to me with her morning smile "Hey Im gonna go out back to the tree and meet Carter love you bye!" I yelled as I ran out the door. I walked outside through my back yard as the leaves crunched under my feet I followed the trail Carter and I made to the tree. I jumped up onto a tree branch and climbed up and saw Carter sitting there. "Oh thank god Jess your here." he said to me with a happy worried look on his face "ok, whats up?" I asked him with a weird kawaii look on my face. But he didn't laugh so I knew something was up. "The darkness, it's back."
