Chapter 101. AhRee's Suspicion

All eyes were glued unto Baekhyun and are expecting him to answer the call. The room became silent as they give time for the Black Pearl leader to pick it up. Out of curiosity, I dig the phone from my pocket to witness that an unknown number is now calling me. That's very suspicious. I have all of the members and other school staffs' numbers enlisted on my contacts, also including the nation's leaders.

I swipe the screen to the right side and I made sure that I plug on the speaker mode before I slowly place the phone near my mouth, "Hello?"

I don't know why but I became nervous all of the sudden. I have a feeling that there's something about this person from the other line.

"Hello, Black Pearl leader." By the tone of a male's voice, my eyebrows immediately crashed on the center as the thumping of my heart began faster than earlier. "Who is this?" I asks without thinking twice. "It doesn't matter if who I am." The man answers and chuckles afterwards.

"I just have something that I want you to hear," He pause as I gulp down a lump on my throat. "B-baekhyun.." My eyes immediately widened when I heard her voice, so as the people that are present in my office.

"T-t-taeyeon!" I exclaimed while the beatings of my chest are pounding so loudly that anytime soon it will give me a heart attack, "T-taeyeon dear!" Mr. and Mrs. Jeung yelps while Mrs. Jeung Tae-Soo can't control herself but to burst into tears.

"D-don't.. P-please.." Taeyeon's begging voice made me tighten my grip on the phone, "Who the hell are you? And what do you want?" Baekhyun ask with a firm voice that made the other line chuckles like a psychotic person, "That is the question that I've been waiting for, Baekhyun. To ask if what do I want."

I took a glance to the prosecutors and they nod their head as they pointed to their earpieces which are currently plug on their ears that means they can also hear the conversation between me and the caller since they've done those hacking things that I am not familiar with.

I gulp down a lump on my throat and waited for his next response. "Four billion dollars for an exchange of your beloved Third Angel and the nation's Black Pearl, Kim Tae-Yeon. Not korean won but dollars."

Tightening his fist into solid balls, Baekhyun clears his throat as if he doesn't wants the caller to hear him stuttering. "Alright." He shortly replied and look at all the people that are looking at him with worrisome on their faces.

The person from the other line smirks, "I like it when you immediately agree." Hence he chuckles a bit, "Let's meet at the Chinese Restaurant at Masan. You must not bring any polices or any other companion to be with you. You must go alone. And if you cross over the line, you will witness the cold body of your beloved." The caller chuckles again and it made Baekhyun struggling in goosebumps when he heard the last sentence.

"Yes I will obey you. But please, I really want to speak to Taey-" I pause when I heard the line has already been cut off.

I slowly put my phone down that I didn't even realize that Mrs. Jeung and some of the members are currently bombarding me with so many questions. "What happened? What did he said? Where's Taeyeon? Is she alright?" Mrs. Jeung starts to panic once again as I only slowly look at her and tap her shoulders twice. I smiled to make her feel that her niece will be alright. "S-she's fine. E-everything will be fine."

AhRee's POV

It has been 45 minutes passed but I cannot clearly hear what they are talking about. But I know for sure that they are talking about a lot of things. I made up my mind that I have to sit nearer to their table so that I'll be able to hear their conversations.
