Chapter 101. AhRee's Suspicion

Baekhyun's POV

I let out a heavy sigh. "Do not worry Mr. And Mrs. Jeung, I already hired some private investigators, polices and prosecutors to investigate about Taeyeon's location." I tried to comfort the couple as Mrs. Jeung Taesoo has been worrying and crying since last night.

Kyungsoo had nothing to do but to tell them the truth that Taeyeon has been kidnapped because they can't stop on bombarding him some questions.

"Why didn't you tell us as soon as possible?" Mrs. Jeung reacted, "I'm so sorry auntie, but we decided to keep it away from you because we don't want you to worry." I look at Kyungsoo and by the time I land my gaze on him, he also exchanges me the same expression.

"Worry? We've been worrying for you both everyday and night. Please try to inform us as earlier as possible if any incidents will happen again. I-I don't wanna lose you both again." Mrs. Jeung cried again as I have nothing to do but to turn my back with my arms crossed.

Another day has come.. But still, we gain no answers from the investigators about Taeyeon's whereabouts.

"Don't lose hope, Baekhyun." Someone tap my shoulder that snap me from my thoughts. I pivot my head just exactly to see the person to find Xiumin hyung with an encouraging and comforting smile. I nod my head once and return the same smile, "I know you miss her." He added and somehow it made my heart skip a beat just by hearing that sentence. I flash a painful smile, "Yeah." I shortly replied.

"I didn't expected that your love story will be this dramatic. By the time that both of you are so ready to confess, another incident happened. I just don't know what to do if we ever find out if who kidnaps Taeyeon." I can feel Xiumin hyung's anger by the end of his sentence.

I turn to face him, "Surely I will do the same thing as what he did to Taeyeon right now. I will never forgive him that easily. I will let him suffer first." I greeted my teeth when I remembered what AhRee told me yesterday. Xiumin's eyebrows furrowed, "Him? Do you.. Do you have a theory that the person who kidnap Taeyeon is a male?" He curiously asks.

I snap back to reality and return my attention to Xiumin hyung. I was about to answer his question when the door flung open to find Kai, Kris and some of the investigators and prosecutors entering the dorm. I approach them in a rush, "Any reports?" I ask first while expecting for an answer from them.

"Did you find our niece? Where is she? Where is Taeyeon?" I heard Mr. Jeung's voice ask in eagerness. "We're so sorry, master. But we found no trace of the Black Pearl." One of the investigators sorrowfully replied. "The kidnappers must've kept her safely somewhere so that we will not be able to find them." Kai added. I grit my teeth and brush my hair upwards, "Seriously? After I paid you a huge amount of money, this is the only report I've got from you?! What did I pay you for?!" I angered as the investigators bow their heads.

"We're so sorry. But we are trying our best." One of them fired back, "No! You don't have to try your best! You need to do your best!" Baekhyun hollered with such furious voice before turning his back as Kris and Chanyeol assisted him. Kai and Xiumin were left behind to apologize to the investigators.

I let out a heavy sigh before sitting down on the swivel chair. I shake my head and slowly cover my face using my palms, "W-what should I-I do?" Baekhyun almost whisper as Kris and Chanyeol exchange gazes to one another.

"Everything will be okay, Baekhyun." Kris tried his best to comfort the younger but it feels like it is the lamest one. "Aish! How would I think that everything will be alri-" I didn't got the chance to finish my sentence when my phone rings and is vibrating inside of my pocket.
