My life wasn't as sweet or as great as I wanted it to be. Obviously, just from what I've told this mutha'fucka already, anyone could infer and figure that out. But I didn't give up on my Ma though, I loved her too much to ever do that, and besides...she never gave up on me neither. But back to the girl at hand. She was giving me a run for my pennies at the time.

And if she asked me too.. like a damn fool I was willing to give her all of them. She never did ask, though. Baby was just independent like that...and that attracted me to her even more.

"So guess what, y'all? I got the job at Frankie's!"

I smiled and nodded my head as I picked up my sandwich. She had been talking about this job all week, and was nervous about whether they'd accept her or not. I don't really know why she was so pressed about this job, when she already had one. But you never can judge a book by the cover, there's no telling why she grinds like she does. And besides, I wouldn't want them bumping in my business if I decided to get a extra for whatever reason.

"That's good! That way you can finally pay me those two dollars you owe me from a month ago, since you got another job and all." T snickered and looked at Lisa over the top of her soda can. I chuckled and sipped some of my juice as Lisa mimicked her laugh, followed by a sarcastic smile.

"Whatever."

I rubbed my fingers off on the napkin, to get the mayo off. "Congratulations."

She looked over at me and smiled. "Thank you."

"So! We gotta go out and celebrate for my girl getting the job!" Chilli exclaimed and did a little dance in her chair, making Lisa and I chuckle. "Let's go out to eat or something."

"You got out to eat money?" Lisa mumbled and looked over at Chilli with a bored expression. Chilli just shrugged and poked her lip out like a toddler.

"We gotta do something, Nicole. We haven't really hung out since you got that first job and we miss you."

"Fine, fine. How about we go to Jellybeanz? We haven't been there in a minute, how about that?" Chilli got excited at Lisa's suggestion and started talking about what she was gonna wear, while I was trying to figure out what in the hell type of place is called Jellybeanz.

"Yeah. And that way Tionne can ask her girlfriend to hook us up with free hot wings and those little frozen pickle juice cups. Oooh, I haven't had one of those little frozen pickle juice cups in so while! I can't wait!" She exclaimed as her and Chilli giggled and jumped like school girls before Tionne abruptly interrupted their mini celebration.

"Um, sorry to bust y'alls glittery bubbles but I ain't going nor am I asking that slutbucket to hook y'all up with anything." I rose my eyebrow in shock at the unusual pet name for a person you called your girlfriend.

"That's a unique name for a girlfriend." I mumbled as I picked at the remaining crust of my sandwich when they all looked over at me. I glanced up and seen Tionne glaring at me through her shades.

"She not my girlfriend. Never was." She mumbled as she leaned back in her chair and popped her bubble gum. "And never will be."

"That was your girlfriend T-Boz. Y'all were wearing the matching outfits and all about a mon--"

"Shut. The. Hell. Up. Rozanda." Tionne grumbled as she looked over at her as if she was about to attack her in any minute. I sipped on my juice and glanced over at Ro to see what her reaction was gonna be like, I've been around them for a while and knew that Ro could pop off at the mouth just as much as she could spill your business. Ro looked at me watching her and chuckled before tearing away from me to look over at T.
