Twenty three. Luke

When we leave the apartment we sit in the car Brady brought while Brett heads with his sisters and parents. Cam stays back to drive Paisley and we decide to drive Kare and Scarlett.
"Was it just me or did you want to fuck Scarlett in the bathroom?" I joke.
"Yeah I definitely did." He laughs. "I know threesomes are your thing, but unless I was blindfolded and you and I didn't touch, I don't think I could do it." He teases.
"Haha. I don't think I could either. But then again, neither of us would be focused on anything other than her sexy body."
"That's true." He agrees. "Maybe tonight you could try with her? Get this ball rolling?"
"Do you think she's up for it?" I ask.
"There's only one way to find out." He smiles.

Finally the girls come out. They are getting their dresses on there so they all come out in white robes. Scarlett looks so beautiful, Cooper and I have a hard time focusing. We quickly stumble out and open the doors for her and Kare.
"Thanks for the ride." Kare says.
"No problem. You look stunning." Cooper says.
"Yeah Kare, you look gorgeous."
"Aww guys." She smiles and pats our shoulders. "Thank you." She smiles. Her long golden hair is in curls. Her makeup is darker than she normally wears it and the silver sparkles bring out the blue in her eyes. Red lipstick contrasts her pale skin.
Scarlett's lips are darker red. Her eye makeup is light making her brown eyes look darker. Her hair is curled and I have try and focus on things out the window so I don't jump her in the car.
"Hey Luke?" Cooper says pulling me from my thoughts.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Do you like phlebotomy?" He asks randomly and Scarlett laughs in the backseat.
"It's a job." I say and smile at her.
"He only applied because he saw me." She laughs.
"Really?" He asks amused.
"Yes. I know it's creepy."
"But completely understandable." He smiles.
"Yes." I laugh.
"Well I was only asking because my head of security is retiring next month, and well, with your background and skills, I was wondering if it would be something that you would like?" He looks at me briefly before his eyes return to the road.
"Seriously?" I ask completely caught off guard.
"Yes. I mean if you turn it down, there are no hard feelings, of course."
"How would you feel about it?" I ask Scarlett.
"You'd be good at it. Phlebotomy for life, Luke? You deserve more." She squeezes my shoulder and smiles.
"Do I apply or...?"
"The job is yours if you want it." Cooper says.
"Well count me in." I say. Happiness courses though me. Military was my life. I never thought I would want to do anything else, but now having such a wonderful opportunity placed in front of me? I'm thrilled.
"I'll have all the necessary paperwork filed this week. Are you okay with moving to New York?"
"Absolutely." I say and smile at Scarlett.
"I'm sad you're leaving, Luke, but I'm so happy for you!" Kare says leaning forward and patting my shoulder.
"Well now we will just have to force you and Brett to New York." I laugh.
"That would be amazing." She says.
"We could move out of the city and live next to each other and we could spend the summer in the Hamptons!" Scarlett giggles as she shakes Kare's shoulders.
"Brett has business courses. I could make a spot on my management team for him." Cooper suggests.
"You're kidding, right?" Kare says.
"No. I was going to talk to him about it tomorrow." Cooper smiles in the rear view mirror.
"Omg! Really?" She says excitedly.
"Really." He says. Scarlett leans forward and kisses his cheek making him grin.
"I think Cooper kind of likes you." I tease Scarlett.
"Maybe a little." He jokes.
"I think he has become a little attached to all of us." Scarlett nudges my shoulder.
"Maybe a little." Cooper shrugs.
"I thinks it's my green eyes. They suck you in." I laugh.
"Oh yeah. Totally your eyes." Cooper laughs.

When we get to our destination, Kare instructs Cooper to park on the far end of the reception building. We all get out of the car and Cooper and I carry the girl's dresses inside for them.
"What's under here?" I ask pulling at Scarlett's robe.
"Wouldn't you like to know." She says arching her perfect eyebrow.
"I very much would." I kiss her quickly.
"I'm feeling much better." She smiles as her cheeks pink under her makeup.
"Oh really?" I ask as I caress her collarbone.
"Really. I mean if you want- if we- I mean you won the Rock Paper Scissors. So if you want we-" she sighs and giggles nervously.
"I'll talk to Cooper. He should be good since he gets you to himself for like two weeks."
"I'm going to miss you." She whispers.
"That's nice to hear. I'll miss you, but soon we will all be together in New York."
"That should be interesting. What about all this?" She motions around the room. "You said you wanted to marry me..."
"As long as I'm with you, I don't need a piece of paper to tell me we are together."
"Really?" She smiles.
"Really." I says before kissing her forehead.
"Alright, Lucas. I love you but you need to leave." Kare hugs him quickly.
"Okay. Okay." I hold up my hands. "I have to go do best man duties for your about to be husband anyway."
"Tell him I can't wait to marry him." She says.
"Will do." I say.
