Kashan's POV.
"Where are you going Kashan?" Mom asked but I didn't answer her and just keep wearing my shoes.

I looked up at the clock which turned to 5 of the evening. I was getting late. Going in front of the mirror I combed my hair again and wore my black jacket on my navy blue shirt.

"I'm asking where are you going?" Mom asked and I turned to her.

"My friends. I'm going to meet them." I answered and took my bike keys.

As I took my wallet,I checked it. There was not enough money. I looked up at mom who was still observing me. I walked out and went dad.

"Dad can I have some money?" I asked dad.

"How much?" He asked.

"5..500." I uttered and mom reached on my head.

"500 for what?" Mom asked before dad could.

"Come on mom. I'm not a kid. I'm 18 years old boy. I have friend, expenses of my own." I burst out.

"Okay just relax son. Here you go." Dad gave me Monet and I took it.

"Thank you dad." I said and rushed out of the house.

"Are you going to meet Manahil?" Mom asked as she followed me to the door.

"Yes. Happy now." I said and took my bike out.

I sat on it and drove it away from my home. I was so happy so much happy. For the first time I enjoyed the real happiness of my birthday. When I was a kid mom used to celebrate my birthday not for the happiness but to show the people and to match with the status of Haider and Haaniyah's families. We knew we were middle class people but she wanted to show herself rich. And she made me do what she liked. But in all these years I never received any birthday wishing from her or from my family..they all were busy in their lives.

First time she brought a real smile of true happiness on my face. First time I celebrated my birthday in a moving taxi but it was apne of the best. Those pancakes I enjoyed with her company. Those moments were priceless. I stopped the bike on front of Haaniyah's home and entered her home after looking at myself in mirror. As I entered I saw her laughing on something. Haaniyah and her family alone with Haider with there busy in talking and laughing but my eyes were on her who was looking beautiful in white frock with red dupatta. As she laughed again on a joke Haaniyah's brother cracked she laughed again and my heart beat faster on the light dimple visible on her left cheek. I felt my heart drowning in her dimple.

"Hi Kashan." Haaniyah's voice broke the trance in which I was lost.

"Come here." She called again and I nodded while I could feel Manahil's eyes on me.

I looked at her once and then moved my eyes from her to Haaniyah and Haider who were seated separately but still I could feel them closer.

"How are you son? Its been so long you didn't visit us." Haaniyah's mother asked.

"Nothing Aunty. Just busy." I answered and keep looking down.

"Are you going somewhere?" Haider asked and I looked up at Manahil.

"Kashan are you going somewhere or is there something special?" Haaniyah asked and I looked at them while Manahil lowered her eyes.

"Nothing is special. I just came to meet you all." I answer and all nodded.

We all start talking while having tea. I looked up at her who was already looking at me. I smiled and raised my left eyebrow to ask her how am I looking? She smiled and then blinked her eyes.
