Mysterious outcomes

This is the longest I’ve ever gone without talking to Mike. I’ve been in my room for two weeks after we broke up, then I decided that I should just get a new boyfriend. I mean, he moved on, why can’t I? So here I am, one month after the break up, with Danny right beside me.

“Talia, want to hang out tonight?” he asked casually. I nodded and smiled. If I’m telling the truth here, I still have feelings for Mike; I just can’t sit around hoping that it was a misunderstanding. I don’t have time for that. “Great, I’ll pick you up at 8.” He smiled and walked away.

I looked up and saw Mike staring at me with a depressed look on his face. I stood up and walked over to him and his friends. Jasmine was hanging off of my brother’s arm.

“Hi Jazz, sorry, but I have to cancel our plans for tonight, Danny is taking me out.” I smiled. Mike stood up and pulled me out of the cafeteria. “What?” I asked bitterly, you would too if your ex-boyfriend pulled you out of the room.

“Why are you acting like a complete bitch?” he asked. “Ever since you broke up with me, you’ve been really rude to me.”

“Well you cheated on me, with Hannah. I should have known what you were telling me about her was complete bullshit. You’ve probably been hooking up with her since before we got together.” I said angrily.

“What’s wrong with you? Are you really that stupid?” he yelled. “Why would I have cheated on you? When you walked into the weight room, Hannah jumped on top of me; I was pushing her off of me when you walked in.”

“How long did it take you to make that up?” I asked. “I’m not stupid, ya know.”

“I never said you were. Why are you so frustrating?” he asked. “I never cheated on you, what I told you about Hannah was true, she is a psychopath.” He yelled.

“You may have Connor and Jazz fooled, but” Mike cut me off by smashing his lips to mine. I pushed him away. “What’s wrong with you? I have I boyfriend now! You can’t just walk up to your EX-girlfriend and kiss her!” I turned and walked away.

“Danny has no trouble kissing other girls.” Mike said.

“What?”

“I saw him go into the chorus room with Taylor Mathews.” He smirked. “Of course, you wouldn’t believe me. You can go check.” I walked passed him to the band room. I heard footsteps behind me; of course he’s following me.

I paused in front of the chorus room. I turned around to see him smirking. I rolled my eyes and opened the door.
