I ran in just as Professor Longbottom came out of his office. "Late?" I gasped, trying to catch my breath.

"No. Please take your seat."

I smiled, relieved, and sat down in my seat. I looked to my right and saw Scorpius Malfoy, a Slytherin. Mentally I grumbled; I had hoped to be seated next to Albus, James' brother and my favorite cousin.

"Morning," Scorpius whispered.

"Umm... Morning to you to..."

Longbottom began talking about the Triwizard Tournament, which I already knew all about, thanks to Uncle Harry. He actually won it!

Scorpius leaned over and whispered "Are you going to enter? Are you old enough?"

Wow. He never really talked to me before.

"No, I don't turn sixteen until February," I told him. They had lowered the age for the tournament so more kids could enter, and for other reasons Dad and Mum won't tell me.

"Well, I turn sixteen in a week. I want to enter. I want to win fairly, to show people that Slytherins aren't all-" He was cut off.

"If you two are done flirting back there..." Longbottom said. The class chuckled and Al turned and winked at me. Scorpius wasn't embarrassed, but I turned bright red. I didn't say anything to him for the rest of the class.

"Mind introducing me to your new boyfriend? Uncle Ron and Grandpa'll be furious when the find out it's a Mal-"

"Shut up, Al. You know Malfoy was just being polite." I walked faster.

"Was he, though?" Al hurried to catch up with me. "The great Scorpius Malfoy, talking to you, and he was just being polite?"

"I said shut up."

Al was silent for the rest of the walk to potions, which we had with the Hufflepuffs.
