My mask is a protection
Against all threats,
ALL THREATS
And not all of them weapons
Althoughs words sharper than dahomey daggersDo harm, they hold no power to contest against the might of my masks charm
A black mask, mahogany wood its mother
Embued with magic by the candomble negrasChicken skeletons,
guinea eyes,
foot of monkey
a hive of flies,The spell that created this mask
Against my woes of the world
The only armor I have ..
My mask
