Chapter 1 part five - End

Start from the beginning

There was probably a ninety percent chance that he wasn't in danger but an unease in the back of Dimitri's mind wouldn't let him shake off the possibility of the remaining ten percent. Paranoia being a natural response in his mind over over-confidence.

"There you are Dimitri! We have been eagerly waiting for you, please come forward so I may introduce you to my people. I see there was an issue with the door, but no matter! We will begin the celebration immediately! You will see how we in New Paravail host events of celebrating!"

"Uh, sure, oh! By the way, you forgot this in the "All-Seer". "

Dimitri made his way through the girls who stood there still as statues, their eyes now downcast, a scene similar to a master walking out of his mansion through his row of maids. A small sense of satisfaction welling up inside him as he walked through them to the elder.

"Oh! It can't believe I forgot the Etherite!"

Certainly, from how the elder had made it seem, Etherite was not something you could go losing randomly and it showed on his face, but with all the people around he made sure to take it very graciously, playing it off as intentional as Dimitri handed off the precious gem stone. The air around him tense, but not threatening, almost as if they were eagerly waiting for a specific event to unfold.

No matter how Dimitri thought about it though, the current situation wasn't very threatening. His original suspicion beginning to disappear and so, Dimitri confidently stood next to the elder, who began speaking as soon as he got into position at his left.

"My people! I have called you all today to inform you of wondrous news!"

"..."

"If you look to my left I have a young man here, I know none of you recognize his face...for he is a new brother who we have found! The All-Seer itself proves this to us! He comes with knowledge and untold tales! We can only imagine what he has experienced to make it here!"

While Dimitri stood there without a word, he noticed that the previously empty village grounds had exploded into life. Wooden tables were laid out, torches atop of polls were inserted into the ground and the citizens of the village were everywhere, carrying large objects filled with an unknown liquid while others started fires.

As the elder spoke, the initial crowd grew from its small size and everyone eventually came to hear his speech.

The type of people in the crown could be in one word described as unusual. They had hair of strange colors such as blue, purple and even green's.In the front of the crowd stood what he assumed where the warriors of the village, with strong powerful builds that could only have come from continued hard work. Some with long hair that was tied back into low sitting ponytails or braids. They wore tattoos over their bodies but otherwise only had leather fur boots and what Dimitri could only call makeshift animal skin pants.

Behind them stood groups of women who all appeared young, they were just as impressive as their male counterparts boasting builds that Dimitri knew from experience came from long running sessions or stamina intensive work making their bodies toned and slim, covered by togas made of some sort of cloth.

It was a strange sight to behold, seeing so many individuals who were at the highest level of physical fitness. The men looking menacing and strong, the women strong and breathtaking. It was enough to make Dimitri fidget and worry about his own appearance, not wanting to be judged poorly by the crowd. Unconsciously he began pinching at the pocket of fat on his stomach as he stood there.
