Chapter 98. Importance

I bite the inside of my cheeks and slowly duck my head down. I didn't know.. I didn't know that Taeyeon kept her feelings for me. I didn't know that she l-loves me. I was snapped when a hand was placed on my shoulder. I slowly raise my head up and trace the hand if who owned it, "Don't miss this chance, Baekhyun," Kai flash me a small smile.

I stare at him for about a moment before flashing a small smile as well. I pull him for a little manly hug, "Thank you, Jongin," I whisper which is enough for him to hear it.

I pull away and tap his shoulder two times, "But for now, we need to focus on our investigation for this time. It's so strange to know that Taeyeon's handkerchief fell since she recently put it inside of her pocket securely," Kai explains.

"I have an idea, why don't we part our ways and look for Taeyeon?" Kris suggested that made me look at him, "That would work. Okay, let's go!" Chen agreed as all of them immediately parted their ways to find Taeyeon. Meanwhile, Kris is about to go when I grab his arm on time that made him stop and turn to look at me, "Is.. something wrong?" He curiously asks while taking glances of his captured arm.

"I need to talk to you, hyung," Kris was stunned since this is his first time to hear Baekhyun calling him hyung again. Kris gulps and turn his attention to him, "W-what we may talk about?" Kris stutters.

I duck my head down for a moment while remembering the words what I use to tell him. Finally, as soon as I remembered, I look at him straight in the eyes. "I'm so disappointed that Kai and everybody knew that I cheated during elections," I pause and I can see that his temples is creating sweat. "W-what do you mean?" He nervously asked.

I close-mouthedly smile, "Nevertheless, I was able to tell Kyungsoo of my real purpose for cheating during elections," His eyes widened as if he cannot believe that I'm somehow glad for what he did.

"It's very hard to understand my real situation. But you'll find out sooner or later. I thank you for doing it, hyung. You really are a good friend to me," My smile expands. "Baekhyun-ah, it's very hard to believe that you're thanking me for what I've did. I assumed that you'll get mad towards me and disband me from Black Pearl section," He sorrowfully says.

I chuckled and tap his shoulder, despite of height gap. "I will never do that towards you, hyung." Despite of Kris's curiousness, he still manage to smile and mess the younger's hair. Their closeness to each other came back again after so many years. And they missed their company too.

Moments passed, Baekhyun's POV

"Did you guys find her?" Kai asks but we receive negative answers from the members. I nervously brush my hair upwards using my fingers. Letting out a panicking and heavy breaths, "Then where is she?" I worriedly asked.

"I know that it's not time to think for such things, but my theory is like.. Maybe something bad happened to her," Luhan hyung mutters. I'm about to react for his stupid theory when an unexpected group of people burst out from inside the hall.

"Taeyeon's missing?" I put my hands inside of my front pockets while they were approaching us, "What are you doing here?" Baekhyun rudely asked. "Isn't why not? You don't own this place," Jin fires back. "Where is Taeyeon?" He asked by this time with a serious face. Along with him is Jiyong, "Why do you wanna know? You want to get her back after you took her away from me!?" Baekhyun's voice slowly increase while Kyungsoo and Kris were pulling him back.

Jin scoffs and stares coldly to Baekhyun, "It was not me who took her away. You're the one who thrown her away," I don't know why but my blood boils by his sentence. I'm about to argue with him further when Kai interrupted, "There is no time for us to fight like this. It won't help the situation for finding the missing Black Pearl! Please people! Stop acting childishly! We need to focus to Taeyeon by this time! Please set those anger aside and let's cooperate, shall we?" There's a hint of annoyance on Kai's voice.

Baekhyun and Jin shut their mouths up but however, exchanging glares with one another. "I think Luhan hyung's theory might be right. First, we suspiciously found her handkerchief by the ground. Second, we can't find her anywhere. And lastly, we didn't have any idea if where is she right now. All in all, Luhan hyung's theory is a hundred percent sure that maybe something bad happened to her!" Kai briefly explains.

"Wait. What? Something bad happened to her?" Jiyong asked in disbelief, "Wait. Could it be.. Someone took Noona?" Sehun thought. "No! That's not true!" Kyungsoo defended. "Your idea is possible, Sehun. But let's think positive and let's hope that she's not," Kris hyung says.

There was a moment of silence to all of us. Everyone must've been thinking for some possible places if where Taeyeon might be. I hope she's safe. I hope she's not really kidnapped. I don't know if what I'll do if something bad happened to her. Byun Baekhyun! As what your Kris hyung said, think positively!

"I can tell you if where she is," We turn our heads back to who owned the voice, "AhRee?"
