Azuki Returns

I've been following Inuyasha's sent for a little bit. I have finally found him in a village. I narrowed my eyes as I saw him fighting some human with a dragon scaled sword. I sped up and jumped kicking the human away from him. Inuyasha's eyes widened at seeing me. It has been a while I suppose. About eight or nine months I believe. "Azuki." I looked over at the human turning away from Inuyasha. "I take it that this has something to do with gaining strength of some kind?" Inuyasha just stood there in shock. I turned towards him a bit glaring. "We can have our little reunion after this dam fight! Pull yourself together Inuyasha!" He shook his head and nodded. I moved back with everyone else and watched him battle the human. Though when Tetsaiga turned back to it's rusty old self Miroku and the others tried to go help him. I held my arm out stopping them. "No, this is his battle. He'll be fine." They looked at me skeptically but I kept a hand on my Tamashi No Kyushu. Yone and Shina nodded understanding what I was saying. The sword killed the human giving Inuyasha his power back in the Tetsaiga along with the dragon scales. Inuyasha sheathed his sword and turned to me. The moment was cut short when we heard Koga's companions running. We ran after them following them up the mountain to find Koga in a bind. Inuyasha used his wind scar to free him and the kid Moryomaru had. I jumped at him catching the child in my arms. I held him close as I jumped away from the mess of the situation. I put him down and turned to see Inuyasha be flung from Moryomaru but by his sword. I ran over to him catching him from behind with my arms around his chest. My feet skid across the ground to try and stop us from falling. I let him go once we stopped. "You've gotten stronger Azuki." I hit him on the head. "You idiot quit gawking at me and focus!" He looked at me with irritation as he rubbed his head where I hit him. "I get it! I'm just glad to see you. Though shocked that you came back at all." I looked at the ground sadly. "Just get on with the task at hand Inuyasha." He looked at me with confusion but nodded nonetheless. He turned back to Moryomaru and kept lashing at him with Koga joining in after Kagome had told them where the jewel shard was. Sango looked over at me with confusion. "Shouldn't you go help them? You might be able to lay more powerful hits." I sighed shaking my head lightly. "I am unable to use Jinsoku at the moment." I clenched my right hand lightly as it was in pain. "I am only able to use Tamashi No Kyushu. You know I can't use that around them. Besides, it's best not to use it on Moryomaru while he has jewel shards." She nodded and looked down at my hand with concern. I ran at Inuyasha one more time as Tetsaiga flew out of his hands and he flew back. I caught him but lost my footing falling back and taking the brunt of the slide. I sat up ignoring the small pain in my back and looked down at Inuyasha as he was now in my lap. "Hey, you alright?" I brushed his hair out of his face lightly with my left hand as I kept my right hand in a fist against the ground behind me. I ignored the Naraku incarnation as I protected Inuyasha. Yone and Shina ran to my side pulling staffs with blades on the ends of them off their backs. They stood next to me in a protective manner as the reincarnation left. Inuyasha began to stir and I smiled softly at him. He reached his hand up to me lightly and placed his hand on my cheek. I leaned into his touch but made sure not to touch him. "Azuki, your back." I nodded with tears welling in my eyes. Inuyasha sat up and pulled me into his arms. I held onto him tightly as if my life depended on it as tears fell from my eyes onto his chest. "We'll see you guys later. Take care Kagome!" Koga took off with his companions following along with the kids. Inuyasha buried his face in my shoulder as he held me tightly. "You came back. Why did you leave?" I shook my head. "It isn't important is it?" He shook his head a bit. "No, but can I at least know where you went?" I stiffened but sighed. "I was with Sesshomaru." He pulled me away from him glaring at me. "After all this time you were gone!? You mean to tell me you fled to be with Sesshomaru!? What the hell were you doing with Sesshomaru!?" I glared at him putting my left hand on his arm. "I wish I could tell you Inuyasha but I can promise you it's nothing you need to worry about! There's nothing going on between Sesshomaru and I and there never will be! Why can't you believe me!?" He looked down at my hand. He reached down to grab it but I pulled it away from him holding it against my chest. "What's going on?! What happened!? If there's nothing going on between you two then what happened to your hand!?" I glared at him putting my last hand over it. "He didn't do this! I did!" His eyes widened and I jumped to my feet backing away. "I was an idiot. Now I'm paying for my mistake. All Sesshomaru did while I was with him was help me with what I needed him to help me with. That's all. I couldn't be with any of you to gain that help. Things were to hectic here. That's why I left." He got to his feet putting his hand on my arm. "Azuki, I'm sorry." I turned away from him letting my hands drop to my side but kept my right hand in a fist. "The past is the past. We live for now. Let's just keep moving. He nodded but grabbed my right wrist. "At least let me see it." I looked away as I opened my hand. His eyes widened as there was a bright star like shape in the center of my palm but two lines on the sides stretched out further than the rest of the wound. He looked at me but I was looking away in shame. "What did you do?" I didn't even look at him as I answered. "I was using the Jinsoku fighting off a demon. However when I tried to grab my Tamashi No Kyushu as well the Jinsoku rejected me. This has healed incredibly since when I first got it. The Jinsoku had pierced a lightning blast through my hand to make me drop it so that I couldn't use it while I had Tamashi No Kyushu in other hand." Everyone looked at me with pity. "Unfortunately that's not where it stopped. With Jinsoku's blast going through my hand some of it's power went through me and conflicted with Tamashi No Kyushu." I removed my hand from Inuyasha and pulled down my top a bit to show them the open gash that started on my upper arm of my left shoulder and went down my shoulder and collar bone and chest and down to my stomach. Their eyes widened only seeing the top of the wound. "Thankfully it finally stopped bleeding. Ever since I was given a new power I could control Tamashi No Kyushu without harming anyone else. It has a new technique. Though, I've been letting my wounds health before I wielded either one of them." Inuyasha looked at me sadly. "Why didn't Sesshomaru help you?" I sighed closing my eyes. "Because this happened after I left Sesshomaru and was long gone from him. There was no help from him. I was trying to find you. Unfortunately for me it took two weeks to find you. These wounds won't health properly. I doubt they'll heal without leaving scars if I don't treat them soon." Inuyasha pulled me to him carefully. "Idiot." I sighed and leaned against him a bit before trying to back away. "Inuyasha, you'll get blood on you." He pulled me tighter to him. "I don't care. Yone, Shina. I need you to heal her." They nodded. "Yes sir." I looked at him questionably. "They stopped calling me dad after you left. They blamed themselves for your absence." I frowned sighing. Sango turned Miroku around as I removed my top and sat down. Inuyasha flinched at the sight of my wound that branched out at the sides. Yone and Shina sat next to me putting their hands on my wound. Electric volts started to form around their hands dancing harshly. Black flames soon followed as the wound started to close. Though, the flames stared to fight with the lightning. Yone shouted in pain jumping back as did Shina. I looked at them in pity. "It's alright girls. Don't worry about it. Their healed enough not to worry about them any longer. They looked at me with worry. "Lady Azuki, those were the flames of Jukisan." I clenched my fists trying to hide my worry. "What is Jukisan?" Yone looked at the floor as she answered Inuyasha's question. "Jukisan is said to be a land of another world, or dimension if you will. A lady usually lives there protecting the Sacred Jewel. However the jewel was stolen one day and she was infuriated and came to earth in search of the jewel to take it back. The flames are said to be what surrounded the jewel protecting it. No one knows who the lady was that protected the jewel or stole it. No one even knows if the tale is true." Inuyasha looked at me as I had my fists clenched tightly. "You alright Azuki?" I nodded putting my top back on and getting up. "Yes. Let's go."
