Point of view from Kierra a 24 year old female.

I coughed at the cigarette smoke filling my small office space  the cubicle in front of me which made me sigh heavily. This happens every day at work. I opened my computer and mindlessly scrolled through my facebook feed. I saw a video of a cat jumping on a fan then getting scared and falling off, I laughed then suddenly I had an almost spiritual experience about how to stop the unhealthy consumption of smoke. Whether it was the cat video or the whirring from my girlfriend heathers fan from across the office, I still don't know to this day. I got up from my officer chair and started walking towards heathers office. I needed a fan.

I opened the door, a look of determination spread across my face, " Kierra" heather smiled at me "hey babe" I forced a smile then said, " I need your fan". Heather confusingly unplugged it and handed it to me and said, " have fun with that Kierra". I plugged it in the outlet of my office, listening to the beautiful sounds of the slow whirring fan. The pure moment ended when I chocked on more cigarette smoke. I finally decided to end this, and turned the fan up to high. I faced it towards the cubicle where the smoke usually comes from. I sat in my chair, waiting for the inconsiderate man in front of me to blow on another stick of lung cancer.

It was about 20 minutes before the office closed when I heard the brilliant sound of a pack of cigarettes being opened. The smoke flew over the shared wall of our cubicle and for what seemed like a minute stayed there, a blissful moment of the smoke not entering my ofiice space, no, that's in the past, but standing there, as if to congratulate me. Then it happened, the smoke blew back into the mans office. I heard coughing and the sound of a bag being packed and I smiled; sadly enough, this was one of the most empowering moments of my life.

I packed my bag and walked out the door. I met heather at the car and we started driving. In light of my recent victory I started playing some Beyoncé feminist songs (you know which songs I mean) and this is sad that a fan can affect my ego so much. Once we got home I threw my bags on the table. I looked down at my feet as I slipped off my shoes, this is when I first realized something smelled really weird in the house. I looked up and gasped and what was before me. My fact Fredrick had a rag on the stove, and was trying to turn it on. He was trying to light to light the house on fire.
