Chapter 3

It was the first day to work and everyone was very excited to meet each other. They had a very long day ahead of them. They were starting off with the table read, then quickly to their trailers for fittings and makeup testing for the first episode. Then later they have rehearsal. Everyone was pretty much standing around talking to each other, just waiting for the table read to start.

Sherri was talking to Maia and Cierra, laughing at the stories that they have already created in the short time that they have known each other. Sherri noticed that Teri has yet to arrive. She was getting a little antsy; constantly looking at the door waiting for her to walk through. She was determined to make a better impression this time. She noticed that the two girls stopped talking and turned their attention to the gorgeous blond that just entered the room. "Teri!" they yelled as she made her way over to them smiling. "Hello my babies".

...........................

"Ok, just smile, be happy, seem fun!" Sherri thought to herself. She could not understand why she was so nervous again. In fact the last time she was this nervous was when she met her husband on set.

Teri was still laughing and talking with Cierra and Maia and she has yet to look up at Sherri as she just stood off to the side. Sherri couldn't help but notice how close they seemed to be already, and wondered if there was something that she was missing. Teri was just going on and on with them as if she has known them for some time.

Finally Teri looks up and notices Sherri. A chill ran down her spine and Sherri instinctively looked down at her sweaty palms. "Shit, Sherri. Stop looking down" she mentally scold herself. She looked back up with the intention to smile back, but this time when she looked Teri was still looking at her but her smile was not there. This time looked more observant than anything else. When she finally looked away she smiled at the girls and walked towards Sherri. Sherri replastered her smile, more ready than ever, and took a deep breath.

"Hi sweetheart. How are you doing?" She rubbed her hand up and down Sherri's upper arm as she says this. Sherri became a little sad when she realized that she won't be getting another hug like everyone else. But she completely understood why. "I'm great. Just excited to get things started". "Same here," she replies, "The cast, for the most part, seems like a blast to work with". She thought to herself, "For the most"? Was I that exception? I quickly tried to brush it off. "You know. We should plan to do something outside of work".
Teri gave her a strange look and Sherri quickly regret saying what she said. "Oh. When you didn't reply to any of the messages I didn't think-" "What messages?" Now she was the one who looked confused. "It's really ok Sherri. I had jobs where I had to keep things strictly business before. No worries love".
Before she could say anything else, Bradley told them all to sit for the table read. Teri gave her a half smile and went to her seat. Sherri walked behind her in disbelief. She felt hurt and annoyed, especially when she realized that she had to sit next to the woman who just made it clear that she didn't like her.

..............................

After mentally preparing herself for whatever was about to happen that day Teri already felt drained. But she had to admit that she was excited to see most of the cast. She was able to get all of their numbers from Peter. She even started a group chat with them so everyone can get to know one another beforehand.
Everyone seemed pretty amazing and loving. Cierra and Maia even added her to a group chat of their own. They want to talk about all types of stuff, such as growing up in Hollywood, health tips, and even advice on love and relationships. But Teri felt that she was obviously not an expert after all of my failed relationships. This all increased her excitement to begin working.

But what really made her upset and apprehensive was that Sherri not once replied nor said a simple hello in the group messages. With hopes of gaining longevity with the show Teri knew that is was important for everyone to at least get along, and one person could jeopardize that.
