My Name's Astrid. Astrid Hofferson. You know coolest; girl, captain of the volleyball team, basketball team, softball team, super hot; yada, yada, yada. Any who tonight is my boyfriend Eret (skipping introduction he's the cool jock). In others opinion he sometimes sees me as nothing, but the thing that gains him more popularity. I know these are lies and that they're just jealous. Though I wouldn't say he's the nicest guy ever.

Tonight he's throwing a party, repeat the biggest of the year. I'm expected to be there as one might say the main attraction. I break my thoughts as I reach my front door. I unlock it to see suitcases all over the living room. I looked at my parents confused.

"Where're you guys going" I ask as I slump onto the couch next to my little brother Gustav. We adopted him when he was 7 days old so that's why he looks nothing like me. "They're going to a wedding" Gustav answers not looking up from his video games. " I wasn't talking to you dork" I replied as I smashed a pillow to his face. "Enough Astrid, Gustav right we're going to your Aunt's Sigrid Wedding" she grouched " and by the way we're going to be gone the whole weekend so your watching Gustav" she added not even looking at me.

"WHAT" I screamed. I could not miss this party. "Mom you can't be serious" I asked seriously hopping she is. By the time she answers she and dad are practically driving away.

"Great, just great, this is exactly how I wanted to spend my weekend" I yell frustrated. " Your just mad that you can't go to Eret's party. I looked at him shocked, not even my parents knew about him. " How do you know about the party and more important how do you know about Eret" I said panicking. "Thin walls" was what he replied not even looking at me. I raised an eyebrow "why haven't you told mom and dad, it's not like you wouldn't.

"Let's just say Eret gives me leverage" he said in a very creepy way. Now that surprised me even more he knew, whatever it didn't matter. All that mattered was that I was going to be stuck at home as the babysitter. Wait that was it.

"Hey buddy" I said in a sickly sweet voice. "How about I go to the party and you stay home alone and we don't tell mom and dad." I wouldn't care if you were here or not. Then I saw him start texting his friends to come over. I knew I couldn't trust him alone so I had only one thing to do. I had to find a babysitter.
