Inanna POV

Elena Damon and I arrived at the party in the woods and saw over a dozen students drinking and chatting.

The Duke party. I forgot. I hope they stay clear of the church.

Your hope, not mine.

Matt and Caroline walked up to us

Elena, hey!

Elena! Oh my God, where have you been?

Caroline intertwined her fingers with
Matt's.

Elena acknowledged this action and so did I.

Long story, no time to tell it.

I wasn't talking to you.

Sure you were.

We haven't met. I'm Matt.

Matt held out his hand for Damon to shake.

Matt, there's a reason we haven't met. You and I are going that way.

Damon grabbed my arms and started dragging me away on our tail
Elena looked back at Matt and Caroline

Ah, I'm sorry, guys.

Matt and Caroline watch them go.

x

are you sure Damon is going to come back with her Bonnie asked

Damon whistled
They turn and looked at us.

Brother. Witches.

Damon strided past them with the grimoire, Elena and I trudging along behind him.
Damon descend the stairs into the tomb. Elena walked over to Stefan.

Everything okay?

I just want to get this over with. Are we ready?

I guess so.

Sheila is lighting the torches at the tomb.
Bonnie stood next to her and Stefan, Damon, Elena and I watched from the entrance.

Air. Earth. Fire. Water.

Bonnie held up a water bottle and Sheila takes it, sprinkling the water on the floor.

That's it? Just water from the tap?

As opposed to what?

I just figured maybe it would have to be blessed or mystical or something.

Sheila smirked at Elena.
Damon pulls out a blood bag and unravels it.

What's that?

It's for Katherine. Gotta have something to get her going. Unless your girl's offering a vein to tap.
He looked back at Elena, who looked at him, unamused.

Stefan sighed and Damon whispers his next sentence to him.

Admit it - you can't wait to get rid of me
He chuckled

I can't wait to get rid of you.

Hmm.

Bonnie looked up at them from the ground.

We're ready.

Bonnie and Sheila were reciting a spell at the tomb, their eyes shut and hands interlocked.

What are they saying?

Sounds Latin.

I don't think it's Latin.
