Everyone cheers. We sounded great if I may say so myself. We continue to perform different covers. I was having a blast. From the other side of the room someone caught my eye.

It was James.

I return the bright smile that was on his face. He turns his head to look at the person next to him. My smile disappears slightly as I see that Halston was with him. I take my eyes away from them and watch everyone run outside to count down till 2013. "Come on!" Sarah pulls me outside along with Sam, Faith and Grace.

"TEN! NINE! EIGHT!" Everyone starts to count down. Even though I barely know Sam, Faith and Grace, I put one arm around Grace and the other around Sarah while she puts her arm around and Grace puts an arm around her sister.

"FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!" We all cheer and watch the fireworks go off. Our group laughs for no reason. It was like we had known each over for ages when in reality, we were a group of people with dreams thrown together. I look over to where James was with Halston. They were having the traditional New Year's kiss.

Why couldn't it be me?
