A Bit of an Introvert

CHAPTER TWO

Author's P.O.V

Charm opens her eyes slowly as the sunlight shined her face. The bright morning light finding its way directly to her eyes, making her squint at the sudden flash of light.

"Ahhh, too early!" She exclaims falling back to her bed and groaning not wanting to part from it's given comfort.

She lays there for a moment trying to go back to sleep when a sudden jolt of realization makes her jump from her bed and rush to the bathroom.

Once done she hurriedly got down the stairs to meet her parents in the kitchen. Her mom was in a conversation with her still sleepy dad while enjoying her morning cup of joe when she noticed her only daughter going down in a rush.

"Morning, sweetie" Her mom greets her as she gave Charm a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning!" She beams brightly, sitting down on one of the many chairs of the large dining table.

"Sooo, how was your sleep?"

"Good" she replies as she begins to cut a piece of her pancake.

"By the way Charm, I'm going to transfer you later to your new school, so are you ready to go to school tomorrow?" Her dad asks as he reads the newspaper probably looking at how business was doing.

"Of course, I'm really excited to meet new friends!!" She replies enthusiastically before looking around and noticing her brother was missing.

"By the way where's big bro?" She asks remembering the fact that her brother is an early bird at most and is impossible to have slept until this late.

"Well, He said that he had an early basketball practice and a meeting at school so he hurried off" Her mom replies before eating a big chunk of pancake.

"He's been busy these days" Her mother adds which sounded more like "Hiz bin bwyzi diz doyz" with her mouth full making her dad chuckle in response before composing himself.

"Ohh...ok"

Well that's something new, She thought. He used to be a total slacker in the past, She remembers making her smile a little at the memory.

"Oh right!" She exclaims surprising both her parents. She apologizes and continues.

"Mom, dad I'm going to go outside with my bike. I wanna check it out before I attend school tomorrow" She says and stands up from her seat

"Sure hun but be sure to watch out for cars okay? Don't want you to get into an accident on your first day back" Her dad jokes putting down his newspaper and smiles at her.

"Ok dad" She replies laughing before heading to the garage.

(In the park)

Charms P.O.V

"See the line where the sky meets the sea~ it calls me~" I sing as I was riding my bicycle and feeling the wind hit my face as I sped through the park with my earphones on.

While I was riding I suddenly close my eyes as I felt something in it. I tried to remove it while I was driving but it just made it worse.
Suddenly, a small dog appears directly in the danger of getting hit by me.

I imediately push the breaker with all my strength and fall from my bike, landing at the ground.

"Ow.." I groan as I feel the pain in my knee and in my wrist. I imediately look at the dog if it was hurt and in my relief it wasn't. I sigh in relief and sit up but not before noticing a shadow beside me.
