Bo. A woman on a mission to reclaim the happy ending that was taken away from her. She may be small in stature, but she never lets that stop her from kicking the crap out of anyone who thinks they can intimidate her.

Adam. A half-alien, though he has lost most of the characteristic blue tinge to his skin after narrowly escaping death. He leads The Forlorn against the militia and anyone else who tries to exploit the weak and struggling.

Shere Khan. Second in command within The Forlorn. He is an excitable young man, saved from a dark and lonely childhood by Adam. He cracks jokes, but has a hidden and startling anger that threatens to boil over when his guard is down.

Helga Sinclair. Third in command within The Forlorn. Perfect at getting the group out of trouble by using her stunning looks and exotic accent. Knows her way around a gun, and is a fierce fighter to boot.

Clayton. The leader of the militia. Cruel to everyone, and possesses many contacts to powerful and influential people. He terrorizes the citizens too weak to protect themselves, and protects anyone with enough money to pay him. The Forlorn are a constant pain in his side... and he's had about enough of Adam and his group of miscreants.

Esme. A nomad young woman who unfortunately caught the eye of Clayton's associate, the Judge.
