Chapter 1 ~ Finally

Genesis P.O.V

Move Genesis...pick up your feet and move! Don't just stand here and let him get away! If you let him leave now, you'll never get your chance to tell him the truth! Take a deep breath, count to ten...and GO!

"Genesis!" Dalton said putting his hand on my shoulder. I took a deep breath. 

"Don't wait up for me" I said with confidence. The guys all looked at me confused and I smiled at them before sprinting out of the ball room and out the building. The air was BEYOND cold, seeing as we were in January and I was wearing a strapless dress. I looked all around trying to find Dana. I picked up my dress slightly so I wouldn't keep tripping over it and started to run. I honestly had no idea where I was running to, all I knew was that I needed to find Dana and finally tell him...Finally tell him the truth!

I sprinted across the street, ignoring all the honks from the cars and people yelling at me to get out of the street. I continued to run down the side walk and evidently I was super out of shape and had to stop to catch my breath. I leaned against the side of a building taking deep breaths..

I've always imagined moments like this to be romantic and what not...ya know the girl runs after the guys all sophisticated and shit...not so much for me when I'm constantly tripping over my dress and having to stop to catch my breath...way to go Genesis! 

"Thank goodness I wore sneakers" I mumbled to myself before picking up my dress once more and continuing my search for Dana. Where the hell could this boy be?!

Dana P.O.V

"DAMMIT!" I yelled punching the side of the metal swing set. "SHIT!" I yelled in pain. I grabbed my hand staring down at my now red knuckles. Way to go Dana! I took a deep breath pacing back and forth...I can't believe this...I cannot believe I just confessed my love for Genesis in front of EVERYONE!!!! I should've known she didn't feel the same way for me! How could I ever think she could love someone like ME?! 

She deserves someone better than me....someone who would never hurt her because he was too afraid to stand up to his managers and to himself....I was a coward...I should've spoken up and told her how I felt the minute I began to realize my feelings for her...but instead I hurt her...and then I went out with Nicole! I am the biggest coward there is!! 

I groaned punching the metal swing set once more and grabbing my hand in pain. I have got to stop doing this! I'm gonna end up with broken knuckles by the end of the night! I sighed sitting on the swing and resting my head in my hands. 

"How stupid can you be Dana...." I mumbled shaking my head in frustration. I sighed trying to fight back some tears...damn I've got it bad...

I suddenly felt like I wasn't alone at this park...I could feel someone's presence but I was honestly too upset to even look up...what's the point anyway...it's not like Genesis came looking for me...I probably embarrassed her in front of her whole family....Man I'm an idiot! 

I buried my face deeper into my hands letting a few tears slip out...you can't just get anything right...can you Dana?!

Genesis P.O.V

I came to the corner of a street that was pretty much deserted...there was literally no one in sight! I looked around at my surroundings and I noticed there was a park across the street. I quickly made sure there were no cars coming and sprinted across the street. 

I let go of my dress not really caring if I stepped on it or if it got dirty any more. The only thing I needed right now was to find Dana....To find Dana and finally tell him the truth...Finally tell him what I've been bottling up for over two years. 

I walked towards the swings. I used to always come to the park to think about things when I was younger..and the swings would usually calm me down. I got a little closer to the swings and noticed there was someone sitting on one of the swings. 

Well that's awkward....I turned to walk away but something inside my heart told me to turn around and look a little closer. I slowly turned around and walked a little closer. I quietly got close to the person. It only took me a few seconds to notice who it was...Those curls....I smiled slightly. Dana!

I got closer to him trying to not make too much noise. He stayed in the same position..he had his head in his hands and I could tell he was upset...the only time he would hide his face was when he was really upset..even if he was alone he would never show his face. 

I cleared my throat trying to get his attention but he still didn't look up at me. I furrowed my eyebrows. He really is upset. I placed my hand on his shoulder. 

"H-hey" I choked out...I didn't even sound like myself...maybe it was because my nerves were off the wall. 

"Look...just leave me alone alright..." He mumbled. I could tell by his voice that he had been crying. I sighed

"Oh Dana" I mumbled looking down. He shot up

"G-Genesis!" He mumbled with wide eyes. I smiled slightly looking up at him. 

"Hey..." I said with a small smile. I could tell he was breathing heavy

"W-what are you doing here?.." He said shaking his head. I giggled

"Well....I came to find you" I said with a nod. He furrowed his eyebrows.

"W-why?" He stammered. I smiled slightly

"Well...if you haven't noticed how far we are from the party...I wouldn't have come this long way if it wasn't important" I said smirking. He chuckled slightly looking down. I took a deep breath

"Dana I came to tell you that...." I started but stopped mid sentence...c'mon Gen....you can do this...you need to do this....

"I came to tell you that I love you" I said biting my lip. He looked up at me with wide eyes

"Y-you what?" He said shaking his head. I rolled my eyes shaking my head

"Dana, I love you!" I said reaching up and rubbing his cheek softly. I could feel his face get slightly hot. He was blushing like crazy. 

"You l-love me?" He said sounding like he was out of breath. I nodded slightly.

"Words can't even come close to describing how much I love you Dana" I said biting my lip. He shook his head looking beyond shocked. 

"I love you so much it hurts" I mumbled rubbing his cheeks softly. He stared down at me for a moment not saying anything. He wrapped his arms around my waist. I bit my lip

"S-say something" I said barely above a whisper. He bit his lip slightly before pulling me towards him and crashing our lips together. I wrapped my arms around his neck closing my eyes. You know how people always say they feel fireworks when they kiss someone special...well I didn't necessarily feel fireworks....it felt more like atomic bombs going off...it was absolutely surreal! We reluctently pulled away and Dana rested his forehead on my forehead. My lips were stil buzzing and I couldn't help but I bite my lip staring up at him. He was staring back at me with the same expression.

"Finally" He said smiling. He rubbed my cheek soothingly. 

"Finally" I mumbled running my fingers through his curls and bringing him in for another kiss.

So...this is love...
