Daryl

You are the daughter of Lori and Rick. You are a Grimes, and you are deaf. The deaf part takes the scare away from the Grimes name. You didn't like the rest of the group because the acted like megaphones around you. You can read lips but they still over enunciate. So annoying, but Daryl understood. He was the only one that acted normal around you, But he made sure to look at you so you could still read his lips.

You and your mom never got along. It was always you and your dad. You and carl were 3 years apart. So he didn't understand the situation. He would always ask,"Why do you call her Lori?" But of course, you never answered him. You didn't want to drag him into a conversation that he was not ready for. You didn't trust the group enough to tell them what was going on. It stayed between you, Lori, Shane and Daryl. Daryl had nothing to do with the arguments but he always talked to you about it. You enjoyed his company and his good vibes around you. He always made you feel better.

You were passing your mom's tent on your way to go see Glenn about going on a run, when you walked by, you saw Shane and her locking lips. You gagged at the sight. You dropped the glass bowl you were carrying trying to make a noise. She whipped her head to face you and signed,"What do you think you're doing?" Shane stomped out of the tent in anger. As he passed you, he bumped your shoulder. "I don't know, just asking glenn if we can look for dad." You were trying to get her to talk about it so you could just explode.

One thing led to another, and next thing you know, it was full blown war in the middle of the camp. Where everybody could see you two throw gang signs. They would not be laughing if they knew what you were fighting about. You were both yelling with hand motions. Lori could have made you read her lips and scream but, she didn't want everybody to know about her and Shane just yet.

"How would dad feel if he knew you were fucking his best friend? HUH!?! I don't think he would be to happy. What would he do if he knew he married a whore? If dad was here right now.."

"Screw you! You know what? I regret having you." That one hurt. "All you do is criticise my decisions! Dad would have wanted us to be happy! I am happy with Shane. Go play with your brother and stop bringing this up!"

"No you stop! You don't get to pretend like he's not alive!"

"Shane said that he was dead! He saw him in the hospital and then the city got bombed! He is dead!"

"Shane's words don't get to decide whether or not he lives! He just said that to get into some sluts pants!"

She just stood there with her mouth and her eyes wide open. A face you have seen only a few times. She was in pure shock. Daryl started walking over when he saw the looks you were giving her. He stood in the middle of you 2 and stared at you. "Hey. Y/n. You wanna talk about it or are ya' just' glare at your ma'?" You nodded. Lori snapped her neck at Daryl. "Get her out of my sight. I don't want to see her till morning." And with that she walked away. Boy was she mad. You were still glaring at the back of her head. Daryl offered you a hand. Without looking or thinking, you took his hand in yours and you started walking.

You had finally reached the tent in what seemed like forever. You were not going to talk to her for a while, even if she begged you to. You were too pissed off. Daryl unzipped the tent and stepped to the side to let you in first. You rushed in and quickly grabbed the notebook and pen you kept in his tent. As fast as you could, you wrote down what was said. You didn't like keeping him waiting.

You turned your head slightly to see him. He was sitting with his knees to his chest, biting on his nails with his arm wrapped around his legs, securing them in place. While he was looking down, you slowly handed him the paper. He snached it from you, reading every sentance with a confused look on his face. He looked up at you still no words coming out of his mouth. You gave him the same look waiting for his to say something. He glanced back at the paper. You started twiddling your fingers trying to figure out why he could be mad. You both hated Lori and he always gave you words of encouragement when something like this happened.

He motioned for you to come over to him. You crawled your way to him and sat right next to him. He grabbed your hips and sat you on his lap. You leaned back so your head was still on his shoulder. His arms were wrapped around your shoulders. He buried his head in the crook of your neck, then he picked up his head so he was looking down at you. You looked at eachother for a while before he finally spoke up. "Nice job, sweetheart.", and kissed your forehead in a loving way. You could feel your cheeks heat up quickly. He noticed before you could look down. He smiled that rare Dixon smile. He leaned his head back into you. Both of you ended up falling asleep just like that. Heads on each others shoulders with smiles of your guys' faces.
