Still Repenting

I didn't mean to hurt her,
I couldn't even if wanted to.
My heart loved the way she smiled,
My soul dancing when with her.

I should have thought more about her,
I should have done something to keep her.
I couldn't let her go so easily,
I couldn't have had shattered her so brutally.

I know even if she doesn't want to,
She's still waiting for me to come.
I know even though I hurt her,
She's around thinking I'll realise it someday, sometime.

Losing her would be like losing myself,
Being swallowed whole by the pit of darkness.
Without her I would be just a shadow,
An empty shell; Useless like trash.

I still love her; eyes searching for her everywhere,
Still want her; Laughing and smiling like always,
Still need her; Like she's the only one around,
Still ask her forgiveness; My soul forever repenting.
