*Knock knock*
I jump up and hit my head against the roof. I look to my right and see Sean out in the rain waving at me like an idiot. I roll down my window to see what he wants.
"Do you need a ride?" He asks as droplets of water fall from his hair.
"No I'm good thanks."
"Don't lie to me Rose. At least pop the hood so I can take a look." He threw over his shoulder as he made his way to the front of my car. I did as I was told and popped the hood for him and got out to make sure he didn't get himself killed. "Your battery is dead and I don't have any jumper cables. I have some at home but it would take forever to get there."
"I have some at home." I mumbled scuffing my shoes against the pavement.
"Alright get in. We'll go get them."
"No it's OK I'll just call Stella." I did not want to get in that truck with him.
"Rose."
"What?"
"Stella doesn't have a car." I sighed. He was right of course. I walked back to my car and grabbed my keys, phone and wallet. I passed him on my way to his passenger side door. He was smirking.
"Don't. Are you going to unlock this door or are we going to stay out here in the rain?" He just chuckled as he unlocked the truck and walked around to the drivers' side.
"So I have no idea where you live anymore." He said breaking the silence.
"That was kind of the point of moving."
"What? Oh.."
"Didn't really like cleaning TP and egg and other various food products and graffiti up every other weekend. Or having to pay for dozens of pizzas I never ordered. Which by the way I lost hundreds of dollars because of that. As well as hundreds on cleaning supplies and a pressure washer. So thanks for that."
"Right sorry bout that."
"No you're not, but I wasn't expecting you to be. Turn left here, then again at the light." He did as I said. It was still raining and the wipers were going a mile a minute. The rain seemed to be getting worse. Figures. "First right. Next left. Left here, it's the blue one." He pulled into the driveway and parked the car. It was pouring buckets out now.
"We should probably get going before it gets any worse."
*Ding*
I looked down at my phone and saw there was a text from Clark: I'm at Carter's the rain is supposed to turn into a storm so I'm not gonna ask him to drive in it. We'll leave when it stops or lessens. I'll text you when/if that happens.
"I can't let you drive in this."
"I'm a great driver."
"I know you are, but other people out driving in it aren't and I'd rather not endanger our lives by letting you drive in this."
"So you do care about me."
"Are you going to come in or stay out here?"
"I guess I can come in for awhile til it clears up. Then we can go and get your car." We got out and headed to the front door.
"Wipe your feet before you come in." I hung up my key and took my coat off. "I'm gonna go change so take your shoes off and make yourself at home." I walked down the hall to my room, once in I took out my cell and dialed Stella's number. "STELLA! OH MY GOD!!!!" I half whispered half yelled once she answered the phone with a 'hello'.
