I didn't wake up until the next morning, not doing any of my homework. Fuck, whatever. I almost missed my bus, but thank god I didn't. I was thinking about whether I'm going to get the part all morning from the moment I arose from my deep sleep. What if I didn't get it? What if I never saw Liam after our date?
And then I thought about getting to see him today, and my heart began to skip beats. The way he would look at me caused my body to push the 'off ' button and begin to shut itself down. He was amazing, every single aspect of him. From his perfectly shaped hair to the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled to his perfectly tender lips that I got the pleasure of experiencing for a minimal amount of time, I couldn't wait to be in his presence, and I also couldn't wait to feel his lips on mine once more.
Casually making my way to my locker, I inspected the hallway for the mundane man that consumed my thoughts 24/7. A wave of shock ran through my skin as the recognizable thickness of his muscles being constrained by his thin blue polo shirt caught my eye. He was turning the dial on his blue lock that just so happened to match his shirt. He was 10 lockers down from mine. How had I never noticed that he was so close to me?
I pretended I hadn't seen him and continued to my locker. I rushed to open the rusted entryway, waiting for the lock to click. My hands became sweaty as I unhinged it to grab the door, swiftly opening it to avoid the loud squeaky noises coming from the metallic oxidized cubby hole. My eyes were glued to him as his met mine at their gaze. Fuck. My head shot back to then be greeted by the cold locker door. A huge 'thud' followed, making me completely visible to everyone in the hallway.
Was that Liam running towards me? I couldn't tell due to the fact that everything suddenly became blurry.
"Love are you alright? You hit your temple pretty hard." The look of worry took over every aspect of his face. Those warm, chocolate brown eyes were opened in a scopic manner, his eye lashes curling up perfectly to increase the intensity of his stare. Well, at least I thought they were.
"Uh yeah, Im fine.." His lean fingers caressed my cheek, his thumb trailing along the imprints left from the impact of the locker door.
My eyelids fluttered rapidly, regaining my 20/20 vision. His eyes looked exactly as I thought they had, possibly better. The heat trying to penetrate through my skin started to feel like a sunburn.
The sneer look grew larger as he felt the warmth from my cheek to his fingers. "Are you sure you don't need to go to the nurses office?"
My glare quickly changed from love to seriousness. He got the hint and immediately began to apologize. "Sorry Jessy, I was just worried about you.." I could tell he was starting to become sentimental.
"No it's fine you don't have to apologize, it was my fault anyways." I kind of shrugged it off, acting as if my head wasn't beating faster than my heart.
"Well, I know something that'll make you feel better," he said pulling me by my hand, causing it to throb from his touch. He tugged, guiding me down the hallway. "Where are we going?" I questioned him, completely out of it. "You'll see," he said, turning around and smirking right at me. I had to catch my breath after that because I just couldn't handle it.
We arrived at the entrance of the auditorium when I realized what we were doing, which was checking to see if we got the parts. My heart started rattling through my chest, causing my body to shake. I didn't have the courage to look, so I just waited to see his reaction.
His eyes scanned the paper, when he suddenly turned around. His face seemed disappointed, showing sorrow in his eyes and a pout in his lips. "I hate to say it but...." He paused for dramatic effect. "GET ON WITH IT!" I screamed, although I already knew that I hadn't gotten the part.
