"I am Declan Sanders" the boy said quietly, while not really listening to his father yell at him (as usual)
Declan wasn't always shouted at you know, he used to have it easy back then.
But that was when he was 8 years old, which was a while back.
That was the age that he lost his best friend to murder.
Since then, it hasn't been easy for him. Declan was named 'Tough Guy' in school, only because he crushed someone's skull for talking about his dead friend (served him right!)
Declan had a large family living in the same house:
Gran - Losing her mind
Pa - Never leaving
Ma - ALWAYS leaving
Kevin - Older brother
Tyler - Younger brother
But when he was 8, there was someone else:
Buddy - Best dog ever
Buddy was his best friend of all eternity, even though he used to have real friends in school. His ex friends are all afraid of him, along with everyone else in the school.
But he was beat up once, by a girl.
The girl took the fight too seriously, which caused Declan to lose an eye, and receive multiple scratches along with it.
Declan always felt the need to ask where that girl was, but nobody knows where and why.
Declan wears an eyepatch to school, and never talks to anybody (unless they want a fight)
Declan walked up to his room and stomped his way to his desk. The only thing that amuses him was art, and maybe some music to go along with it.
"This isn't going right for me any day without you my old friend...." he said quietly.
Reaching out for a secret drawer in the desk, he pulled out his diary, (I know, shut up!) and opened to a specific page that he'd always read on a specific date.
The date today was January 6th, 2017.
The date he long seeked revenge, for many years now.
The diary read:
'Declan Sanders, January 6th 2008'
Today was the day that my best friend had died. My brother and I took him out for walkies, and someone attacked us. A girl with a red and black mask on, I thought she was an anime character! Anyway, she had put our dog out of misery my brother said, but that isn't the case for me.
One day, I will find her.... And I'll put her out of her misery if you get what I mean?
