Chapter 6:
Reyn:
Seeing Astraea laying in her huge bed with that scar on her face he wanted to cry. Why is that woman so cruel? I can't keep doing this. I have to stop this it's gone too far. Reyn wished that he was the father that he should've been. The father that could never let anyone hurt their child or fall into Aine's trap. Again and again. And again. It pained because now Astraea wasn't the constant reminder of his failures it was her scar. But he couldn't run away from her scar without running away for Astraea. And Reyn was tired of running, it was time to take a break and cool down. Unfortunately, Reyn couldn't cool down because anger consumed him. Slamming his fist into the nearest wall repeatedly. The anger only flustered more when he saw Catriona walking by with a smug look on her face. To him, this was her fault. She was the one who assigned Astraea to them. She was the one who assured him that nothing would happen to her. But things did so she lied to him.
Moving over to her reyn began feeling the urge to hurt Catriona. He positioned his body in front of hers blocking her from continuing to move.
"You lied to me." Catriona was confused on what he was talking about. She was truthful about everything.
"Lied to you about what? I don't know what you are talking about. Move out of my way, I have places to be."
"My child is laying in her bed with a huge gash on her face. I thought you said that she wouldn't be harmed. Or was it all lies to trap me again."
" Your child is no longer a child. She is old enough to handle it. She broke that rules and know she has to love with the consequences."
"You really are something, aren't you? You know you've done way worse and faced far fewer consequences. So I know that you had something to do with it. Don't come anywhere near me."
"Does this mean I've not invited in your bed anymore?" She cared about him but she cared more for herself. What she was saying wasn't genuine but more of curiosity. To test Reyn's resistance against her. Reyn was clear of her trip and was tired of falling into it and just walked away.
Reyn walked back in Astraea's room. Stopping at the doorway to watch Astraea. Remembering past moments with Aine, Reyn didn't to want anyone to see him being affectionate towards Astraea more than he already had. The more affection you show the more danger she seeps into. Reyn couldn't bear to see her like that, so he walked away to his chamber to weep.
Nestori:
Nestori was very curious as to why Astraea hadn't shown up already since dawn would be arriving soon. He knew that only the queen would have his answer because she knows about everything.
"Where is the girl, sometimeAstraea? She's missing."
"She has taken some time to recover, but she will be here today." Nestori walked away ponder reasons why Astraea would be 'recovering'. Don't worry about her. She is none of your concern. The voice in his head whispered. The voice was an itch within his head that was unreachable, and unable to scratch. And that pained him. If finding another voice inside your head isn't a sign of craziness forming than I don't know what is. He thought he was losing himself but losing himself would mean losing Cyllenne. Nestori knew that losing Cyllenne would make all of the things he had done worthless. Every promise he had broken and kept could soon be nothing. Nestori had to find a way to stop this. Fast.

Astraea walked into the hall head low shameful of herself. Nestori walked out of his chamber to see what the noise was. Turning his head mortification washed over him. It wasn't the scar that horrified him it was the sickening thought that the Queen could even the most innocent, most pure. The most vulnerable.
