Chapter 21. Abandon Camp

"Are you okay?", I ask him and he puts his hands on my cheeks.

"Am I okay?", He asks, "are you okay? Did the grounders take you? Did they hurt you?"

"Yes and no", I say, Jasper walks up to me and gives me a hug.

"Thank god you're okay", he says, "where's Monty?"

I raise an eyebrow and look at the others, "what do you mean where's Monty?", I ask.

"He's gone?", Clarke asks walking up along with Finn.

"We need to leave, now. All of us do. There's an army of grounders, unlike anything we've ever seen, coming for us right now. We need to pack what we can and run." Finn says and people start to talk.

"Like hell we do. We knew this was coming." Bellamy says and that is true. We knew the grounders were going to retaliate. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

"Bell, we're not prepared." Octavia says.

"And they're not here yet." Bellamy points out, "We still have time to get ready. Besides, where would we go? Where would we be safer than behind these walls?"

"There's an ocean to the east. People there will help us." Finn states.

"You saw Lincoln!", Octavia realizes.

"You expect us to trust a grounder? This is our home now." Bellamy says and I can tell he's about to get into one of his speeches so I suggest getting comfortable.

"We built this from nothing with our bare hands! Our dead are buried behind that wall in this ground! Our ground! The grounders think they can take that away. They think that because we came from the sky, we don't belong here. But they're yet to realize one very important fact: We are on the ground now, and that means we are grounders!" He shouts and everyone cheers.

"Grounders with guns!" A guy says and it puts a small smile on my face

"Damn right! I say let 'em come!" Bellamy shouts.

"Bellamy's right." Clarke adds and I never thought I'd ever hear her say that. And if I'm correct, a long ass Clarke speech is about to happen.

"If we leave, we may never find a place as safe as this. And God knows, in this world, we could be faced with something even worse tomorrow. But that doesn't change the simple fact that if we stay here, we will die tonight. So pack your things." She says, "Just take what you can carry, now."

Everyone starts hurrying around camp and Octavia walks up to me, "where is he?" She asks, clearly referring to Lincoln.

I hand her the sword and she looks at me, honestly I don't know if he's dead, but I also don't know if he's alive either. She looks down at the sword and notices the blood, "I sorta had to use it" I say.

She walks away and I turn around, "help me" a faint voice says and I see Raven turn the corner and she's limping.

I run over to her along with others, "Murphy shot her" Jasper says and Finn picks her up.

"Get her to the drop ship!" Clarke says.

We rush into the drop ship and lay Raven down on a bed. "What happened with Murphy?" I ask, last time I saw him he was actually nice.

"He went back to..... normal" Bellamy says and he doesn't have to say much more than that.

Clarke heats a blade and puts it on the wound, "that should stop the external bleeding" she says.
