Chapter 1: A New Hope

Jack Point of View (POV)
My name is Jack McLoughlin. I grew up in the small town of Ireville. I was born in the Ireville Hospital. I went to Ire Primary school, then Ire Junior High, then Ire High. As you can tell, they all were in Ireville. I hate Ireville. No one was like me. They all thought I could be tough and strong like the other boys, but I couldn't. I talked my way out of being hurt. I got into their heads. I was as kind as I could be, but scary words make people run away, not nice. They still taunted my name in the hallways, "Sean is a baby, Sean is a baby! Hahaha!" I hate the name Sean now.

I had my share of girlfriends. Not a lot, but my share. I connected, but I was too talkative, too get-in-your-mind. They all left me. They were scared or angry when they left.

Mom and Dad weren't the kindest. They had things to do, people to see. But they were ashamed of me. I was their only son, and I was weak. They wanted someone pushy, but nope. So yes, they were my parents. They payed for my clothes and food and video games, but they weren't parents in the way it counts.

I had one way to get all of it out. All my fear. The fear of getting hurt. The fear of hurting. The fear of my heart breaking. The fear of breaking a heart. Metube. Metube is a type of website where I have my own channel, my own life. I laugh and talk and play video games.

I call myself Jacksepticeye. I always thought Jack was a badass name. Jacksepticeye is the real me. The person I am when nobody told me I couldn't. Metube is where I hid after high school. I was only Jacksepticeye, not Sean. I watched other Metubers. I admired them so much. Who I really loved the most was, however, Markiplier.
