Chapter Thirteen

It was now Friday after school and everything was going good. This week went by really fast and with Tyler in many of my classes it's fun having someone to talk to.

"What do you want to do?" Hayes asked as we were on the couch watching Family Guy. I remember when it was Christmas night and we were in bed together watching this, he was sleeping for most of it but it still felt special, just like it does right now.

"You should post your first YouTube video!" I've been waiting for one since he started his channel, sounds weird right?

"About what?" he asked and started to sit up from the couch.

"I don't know, stuff about yourself," I don't know anything about YouTube but a get to know me video would be smart .

"Sure, and you can be in it too," I couldn't help but smile. It would be cool to be in one of his videos. Hayes soon got closer to me and kissed me on the cheek .

"I'll go get my camera," I nodded and he then ran out the door to his house.

Tyler and his parents went out shopping and my parents still haven't came home. I know I should be nervous or scared but honestly they're my parents and they can take care of themselves. Does that sound mean? I hope not, I do miss them though.

BEEP BEEP

I heard my phone go off and picked it off the table .

From Lauren - Hi, what's up?

If you're wondering why I have her number it's because Lauren and I used to be friends.

To Lauren - Hayes and I are about to film a video.

I don't really want to talk to her but I don't want to be mean. Maybe she'll get that I don't want to talk.

Hayes soon came back without even knocking on the door. I helped him set up his camera and got comfy in front of it .

"Now who's going to turn it on? " I asked, he made a little chuckle and got off the couch to turn on the camera. He sat down and got comfy again.

"Ok , let's do this !" I said and clapped my hands. Hayes soon started talking and he sounded like a natural for his first time .

"Hey guys, so for my first video I decided to answer some of your questions with my friend Dani," he said and pointed at me I just waved at the camera and said a little hi.

"First question is how old are you?" Hayes asked.

"Im thirteen. " I said and Hayes did the little hand motion that meant same.

"What's your favorite food? Mine is pizza."

"I like fries " I added. He stared at me like he was saying fries, really fries? I just smiled back.

"What was your last text?" I got my phone and looked at my messages.

"Mine is from my friend Tyler he said , my mom is making me try on clothes," and then he showed the camera the message .

"My last text was from this girl named Lauren I replied and said, Hayes and I are about to film a video," I then showed the camera my message .

"Lauren?!" Hayes nearly screamed .

"Yea?..." is it that bad?

"I didn't know you were friends, after everything she did " he turned his head and looked me in the eyes .

"I just want to make sure you don't get hurt," I smiled and moved closer to him on the couch .

"Don't worry, I'll keep my guard up," Hayes then put his hand on my cheek and rubbed his thumb over it .

"Not too high, some people are trying to climb them," and gave a little wink at the end . I couldn't help but laugh because I didn't know what else to do.

"Anyways, next question . What is your battery percent?"

"76 percent," I answered.

" 54 percent," Hayes said.

We answered many questions , I slapped him a couple times and laughed many times. Everything about this video was amazing. When we answered our last question it was already late.

"I should head off and edit this video, It'll probably take me all night." I nodded and helped him set down his camera. I walked him to the door.

"We should hang out tomorrow, or if you don't want to then like we don't have to," Hayes said while scratching the back of his neck .

"Yea, that would be nice." I just kind of stood there and he did too. It's like I was waiting for something but I didn't know what.

"Bye." I said and was about to close the door .

"Wait! " Hayes said. I opened the door again .

"Um.. goodnight," and he moved closer to me and leaned down. I went on my tippy toes and put my lips on his . It was a little peck but it felt amazing.

"Goodnight," I said and turned back inside and closed the door.

BING BING

and my phone went off .
