4. A Curse
Sometimes it's a curse
You'd rather believe it's for the worst
Sometimes it's bright
Like a star brought to life
Stay optimistic
Than stray away
Fear you'll no longer be close to heart
Rather remain as a discarded part
Tell me it gets better
This story of ours
For if I last longer
It'll be in the death of your arms
Disheartened by the news
Another lack of truth
We get further away as years pass
And closer to them who we said we never are
I gave a smile
Whenever you glanced
And put up with the negligence on your part
It was a phase
I reassured
When all of a sudden
I snapped to the real world
I've lived a lie
Most of my life
I've gained no truth
But just realised
It's a curse
In it's whole
No loose ends or folds
It's a bliss we'll never feel
Cause hell is all we'll breathe
