{Spy} - Ezra Bridger

"Please just.. be careful with Maul. After all the stories you've told me about him, I doubt he's a good ally for us."

"He's no ally." Ezra chuckled," But I'll be fine. We'll be back in less than one parsect." He promised," Unless-"

"I won't leave the base, Ez. I have so much work to do. That you've deprived me of, Bridger." I tried to sound angry but the goofy smile playing on my lips gave me away

Ezra laughed and put his hands up in surrender," Fine. Fine. You got me there. At least I have something to look forward to when I come back." He grinned and leaned down to kiss me at which I sighed happily and kissed him back, pushing the thought of this being the last time that I kissed him out of my head

"I'll be here waiting." I told him once we pulled away

"I'll be back in no time." He smiled, hugging me tightly," I love you."

"I love you too." I murmured, hugging him back

"Where the hell are you? Ezra told me that it would take less than a parsect, it's been three!"

Kanan winced," Well.. about that... We ran into some minor problems."

"What minor problems?" I asked, frowning as I looked down at his miniature hologram image

"Nothing too serious. We'll be arriving in a few minutes. We have Ezra locked up-"

"What's wrong with Ezra?" My attention was on high alert now that my boyfriend had been mentioned

"He's been going crazy, screaming bloody murder. I think you're the only hope to heal him from this."

"So you finally decided to entrust me with some information. I'm glad."

"(Y/N), I-"

"I'll be awaiting your arrival." I cut off the transmission and sighed, gathering my jumbled thoughts together before I walked out alongside Captain Rex

"Ezra's going to be fine, Commander. You don't have to worry about it." Captain Rex reassured me

I smiled softly up at the aging clone," I know, Rex, but he always has me worrying for him whenever we're apart. I just hope nothing excessively bad happened during that mission."

"You're about to find out." He nodded over at the Ghost finally touching down on the ground

I let out a breath that I didn't realize that I was holding in, watching as the crew all filed out, Kanan waiting for me. I braced myself for what may be the worst as I walked towards him.

"Where's Ezra?" I asked him, my posture rigid

"Inside, come on." He led me into the ship and to Ezra's room

"Why is it..?" The room was closed by a series of locks and I could hear Ezra's muffled screams from behind it

"He tried to escape many times. I had to put locks that only I can open. He's also gagged and shackled, just so you know." Kanan swiped his hand over the locks and they opened, letting the door open with ease

I frowned when I saw Ezra actually shacked to his bedside, screaming curses through his gag,"What happened to him?"

"Maul. I told you you should have-"

"You better not pin this on me, Jarrus. You didn't even bother telling me what the issue." I snapped at him before making my way to Ezra cautiously

He tried to lunge at me but was held back by his restraints," Ez, it's me, (Y/N). You're back home." I told him, reaching down to run my fingers through his short gelled back hair

He looked up at me with wide and angry eyes, flinching away from my touch yet I saw the soft gleam in his eyes as if he recognized me.

"Please, Ez. You told me that you were going to be fine when you came back. I need you to keep that promise for me." I murmured, reaching around and taking the gag off of him

He instantly quieted, his eyes following my every move. I smiled softly and continued smoothing back his hair," I'm here, Ez. No ones going to hurt you, I promise."

"(Y/N).." Ezra rasped out, trying to reach out and touch me but failing to do so because of his prior screaming

"Shh, it's okay, Ez. I'm right here. You're okay. We're together again, just like we promised." I smiled at him softly, stroking his cheeks with my thumbs, staring deeply into his dark eyes

He nodded wordlessly and I turned my focus down to his shackles," Kanan, take these off of him. He's no animal or prisoner." I said, not bothering to even turn to the older man

Ezra growled lowly when he saw Kanan walk over but I maintained eye contact with him," Ez, it's just us two, okay?" He nodded slowly, looking back at me with little to no care towards Kanan who waved his hand and let the shackles fall to the ground

I smiled softly as Ezra brought his hands up to cup my face, love shining in his eyes," I told you I'd return in one piece."

I laughed at what he told me, leaning in and kissing him passionately," You're such a dork, Bridger."
