The next day

Lisa's POV

I woke up to my alarm. It's 9:40, still got 4 hours and 20 minutes before Liane's first therapy session.

She slept alone in her room last night. She said she thinks she's gonna be okay since she started talking without stuttering.

I did my morning routine then decided to check on Liane. I knocked on her door then walked in.

I saw her sitting on her bed, reading a book while listening to music.

How? Doesn't she get confused?

I quietly walked over to her bed and sat beside her. I guess she's too focused on what she's reading cause she didn't notice me at all.

After a while of sitting there quietly beside Liane, she finally removed her earphones and closed her book.

It took like 2 minutes before she noticed me. Her eyes widen while her mouth's hanging open.

She then closed her mouth and started breathing heavily when she realized it's just me.

"You're going to give me a heart attack Lise." She said in between breaths.

"Sorry baby." I laughed, rubbing her back.

"You should've seen your face though." I whispered.

"You're mean!" She said, playfully punching my arm

"Am not." I said, crossing my arms across my chest.

"I'm hungry." She said, pouting.

"Let's go eat breakfast downstairs then." I said, running a hand through her hair.

We walked out of her room and down the stairs. We then went to the kitchen and saw the thing we never wanted to see.

"Why isn't anyone cooking?" I asked.

"We ran out of food. Kath's still out buying the groceries." Mom said.

"I'm starving." Liane said, plopping down on the couch.

"Let's go out. You need to eat right now so you can take your medicine." I said, walking up the stairs.

I went to my room and got my purse and car keys. I walked back downstairs.

"Who wants to join us?" I asked everyone in the living room.

"I'm not hungry at all." Dani said.

"I'm good." Amy said.

"Same." Christina said.

"What about the little boys?" I asked mom.

"They're still sleeping." She said.

"I guess we're leaving then." I said.

"Yea. Enjoy the bonding." She said.

I nodded, giving her a smile.

"More food for us." I whispered to Liane.
