You heard her heels tapping on the floor as she walked away and sighed.

"That woman sounded like she had ingested enough caffeine to give an elephant a heart attack," you muttered, pinching the bridge of your nose.

"Yuffie's like that," Kairi said, taking your hand and placing the fork in it. "But her food is so delicious that we don't mind. Eat up!"

"So, [Name], sorry for being so insensitive, but... Are you really blind?"

You tilted your head at Axel's question. Of course you were blind. You had to be guided through the halls by Demyx, and you had a cane for crying out loud. How much more obvious could it get?

"Yeah, I am..." You responded, puzzled. "Why do you ask?"

Axel cleared his throat. "Well, uh... Your eyes are [e/c]. Shouldn't they be colorless or somethin'?"

"From what I remember Demyx saying, Riku's eyes are colored also, so I think colorless eyes only occur from a certain type of blindness, like cataracts, or if you were born blind."

"That explains it," Axel said. He paused, then added, "You have beautiful eyes, [Name]."

"Th-thank you?" You stuttered.

"You're welcome," he chimed.

"Hey guys," Kairi piped. "I'm going to check on how Naminé's doing, so I'll see you all in the common area tomorrow around eleven. Good night!"

Everyone bid her good night and you spoke up. "Who's Naminé?"

"Kairi's twin sister," Riku replied. "They're fraternal, though- at least from what I've heard."

"Naminé's blonde," Roxas explained. "But they have the same blue eyes."

"I see," I muttered, nodding my head. "A lot of people here have blue eyes, don't they? I mean, there's Kairi, Naminé, Roxas, Riku, and... Demyx, what color are your eyes?"

You heard him chuckle. "That's right, I didn't tell you what I looked like. Well, I have dirty blonde hair styled into a mullet- and in case you were wondering, yes, I can pull it off -and blue eyes."

"So that makes five people," you said. "Any more?"

"Not that we know of," Axel commented. He then yawned. "Guys, it's ten to eleven. I think we should all catch some z's."

You nodded, grabbing your cane. You then stood and took Demyx's arm.

"Do you want me to take you straight to your room or do you want to explore a bit?" He asked you.

"Actually," Roxas said before you could answer. "I need to show her something."

Now that you were aware that he was in a wheelchair, you could hear his wheels as he made his way over to you. "C'mon [Name]. You really have to see this."

"Alright," you said as he took your arm.

"Dream of me?" Somehow Axel had walked up to you without you noticing and now had his lips slightly brushing against your ear.

"Dream of killing you?" You asked, flicking his face. "I'd take you up on that offer any day."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wait a second," Roxas told you. "I need to unlock the door."
After a moment he tapped your arm. "Alright, lets go."
You entered the room, guided by Roxas' wheelchair as you kept a hand on one of his handles.
"Okay... Stop. We're at the foot of a bed right now, so I'm going to go to the side first and then tell you where to go, alright?"
"Roxas, I'm pretty sure I can maneuver around the corner of a bed," you said. "Thanks for the offer, though."
After you two were at the side of the bed, Roxas took your hand and placed it on the hand of the person on the bed.
"Who is this?" You asked Roxas.
"Ven," Roxas replied, his voice cracking. "He's in a coma right now, and has been since the car crash six months ago."
You felt your heart sink to the bottom of your feet. Ven? In a coma?
Your hand tightened around Ven's as you felt tears well up in your eyes. "What happened?" You asked Roxas, your voice barely above a whisper.
"He got thrown through the windshield and flew straight into a tree trunk," Roxas said, pausing to swallow the lump in his throat. "His skull fractured and parts of it actually pierced his brain, causing him to go into a comatose state. The doctors don't know when... Or if he's going to wake up."
You could feel hot tears making their way down your cheeks and dripping down onto your shirt. "Don't say that. Don't doubt him. He will wake up, and he will be fine."
You moved your hand from on top Ventus' to Roxas' shoulder. Under your grip, you felt him shaking, and all you could do was slowly rub his back and whisper soft words of encouragement and support, though you felt like you were mostly directing those words to yourself.
