[ARTICLE] 140103 "EXO’s Chan Yeol Wrestles with Giant Yam in the Jungle for Hours"
EXO’s Chan Yeol took another step to adjust to his life in the jungle, becoming a jungle-dol.
January 3’s broadcast of SBS’s The Laws of the Jungle in Micronesia will show Chan Yeol trying to dig up a gigantic yam, whose roots can weigh up to 70 kilograms (~154 pounds).
Using everything he could get his hands on, including a shovel and an axe, Chan Yeol wrestled with the yam for over two hours, breaking his tools in the process.
But Chan Yeol refused to give up and started digging up with his hands, making holes in two pairs of gloves and getting mud in between his nails.
Watching him from the side, Yeh Ji Won said, “I don’t know for how many hours Korea’s top idol has been digging. This situation is just too funny.”
Chan Yeol’s passion to get what he wants also showed when he tried to catch some fish.
Using his long arms and a bug net, he constantly fished them out of the water, earning the title of the ‘fish man.’
