"O, ma'am, kanina lang parang papatay kayo ng tao tapos ngayon ngiting-ngiti kayo?" naguguluhang tanong ng driver namin.

Siniko siya ni ate Tess. "Ito naman inaasar pa 'yung bata."

Tumawa ako. "Okay na po ako," sabi ko. "Naayos na namin ni Cal," masaya kong sabi.

Pumalakpak naman sila. "Ay naku mabuti naman ma'am!"

Umakyat na ako sa kwarto at natulog.

Bandang alas onse nang bigla akong naalimpungatan.

I groaned. "Ano ba 'yan?" naiinis kong sabi.

Unti-unti siyang pumasok sa kwarto ko at ngumiti.
