ABOUT MY LOVE

61 2 1

My heart is a chamber,

A hidden cabinet filled with love;

But when I look at you immediately it flows.

Like the oil that anointed Aaron,

It flow from the centre of your head to the crown of your feet.

Just like this my love flows to you,

Over and through.

It encompasses and encloses you with security and reassurance,

Like water,

It rushes over like a fall – right into your calm river,

Certain of its landing and always overflowing,

Never resentful and forever expendable.

My love is like the raindrops on the desert,

Not that it is a rare phenomenon but that

It caresses the dry Earth that is your heart,

And creates an Oasis.

It gives life, bears fruit and is inexhaustible.

My love is as a woman giving birth for the first time,

Her feelings of joyful sorrow and insecurity.

It looks not for fame,

Only from the one that emerges out of the darkness.

It is ever-present even after any spectacle.

To you I give my heart,

My joys, my fears and tears,

To you does my love belong,

I feel my heart has a home,

Never again to be alone.

But you who never notices,

Who never has time,

And may never hear this rhyme:

My love I give to you,

To flow to, over and through,

But never will you see,

And give your love to me.
