Samantha's POV.

"Alright dad, I'll be back in time for dinner." I exclaimed, shrugging on my coat as I left the house.

It'd been a week since I was kidnapped and poisoned. The memories were fresh and at times I was too paranoid to leave the house.

When I returned home my father was freaked the hell out. Completely understandable. He bombarded me with questions of my late night adventures, only if he knew.

I hopped on my bike and started riding towards school. It was Friday, the last day of this hectic school week. I was exhausted and work came easily as I got used to it.

Adaptation worked sometimes.

I parked my bike and got inside the school to my first period class. Science.

I smiled as I saw Jeremy and his friends, I waved at them, and they did the same back to me.

I sat quietly as the teacher walked in.

Signing as I walked out of school, I took in a whiff of fresh air.

I scanned my surroundings as I grabbed my bike.

"See you later, Sam!" Jasmine, a girl from calculus shouted.

"See you Monday, Jas." I said and rode towards home.

"You're a slow rider, most girls I know are faster than you." came his voice.

The same voice that I came to hate and love at the same time.

"That's because I'm not most girls." I explained casually.

He chuckles.

I got off the bike and turned to him.

Damon was dressed in a baby blue t-shirt and black jeans and converse.

"Why are you following me?" I asked as I crossed my arms across my chest.

"Because I wanted to ask you a question." he says rubbing his head.

Was he nervous? My heartbeat speed up.

I don't trust this man.

"W-what question?" I stuttered.

What the hell was wrong with me? Stuttering and shit? I cleared my throat.

"You wanna play a game, love?" he smiled mischievously.

"Uh sure?" I wasn't even sure of myself.

"Tag, you're it!" and he was gone.

He was using his powers and that was totally unfair but nevertheless, I chased after him.
