Don't threaten me

"I will be fine, I have Rhys for my first two classes" I smirked.

"Ah, I wanted to have a class with him, so I could make a show of them" Jack sulked.

"Don't worry I think he can manage that all by himself" I said as I got to my locker.

"Okay, find us if you need anything, Michael might actually speak next time" he said nudging Michael making him blush as he dragged him down the hall.

I grabbed what I need and went in my locker. I found my English room easily. Walking in I tried not to laugh. Rhys is standing, staring down two werewolves who are glaring at him. Stupid mutts, a royal guard never back down, definitely not from a challenge from wolves. I looked back at Rhys, shaking my head. He is wearing a dark grey shirt with a black dickey bow, a black blazer, black jeans and combat boots. The girl's are looking at him with love sick expressions. Rhys turned to face me with a smile.

"How do I look?" he whispered.

"Good enough for the girl's to have love sick expressions" I whispered, his face beamed with delight.

"Be careful around these wolves, their alpha isn't here, but his beta is and they will have told him already that were here, don't hesitate to defend yourself Ruby, they won't hesitate to attack, if they do, Lexi will be hear in a second to kill all of them" he said but smirked at the last bit. He loves watching my mom in action.

"Don't worry, I won't" I reassured him.

Walking down to find a seat, every boys in the room turned to watch me as I walked past, lust rolling off them in waves. Sitting down at the back of them room, I could feel eyes burning holes in me. I looked to the side and found the wolves glaring at me. I glared back with a smirk never breaking eye contact, I won't back down from a challenge either. After a few minute's when they realised they don't scare me, then broke eye contact and looked towards the board. I turned to face Rhys and found his smirking at the wolves. Watching Rhys teach, I have to say he surprised me. He definitely prepared himself in such a short time. I smiled proudly at him. Even as he talked to the class, I could still see him watching the wolves carefully. They have know idea he is a royal guard, they think we're all normal vampire's, if they knew what he is and what I am, they wouldn't be so quick to glare. The morning's classes went quick enough. I chatted to a few girl's in class and exchanged numbers, surprisingly one is a wolf, but she didn't show any hostility towards me like the other's. But watching her around the other wolves, she seemed a complete wreck, they look at her with disgust, shocking me. Something about her made me feel the need to protect her.

                                       The lunch bell rang and I grabbed my bag, walking out of the room. Opening my locker I put my bag in and got my phone. Just as I picked it up, it rang.

"Hey honey, how is your first day going?" Mom asked.

"It's going good, got a few of the girl's in my class number's" I answered.

"That's great, how are thing's with the wolves? are the planning on attacking?" Mom asked.

"I don't know, I haven't listened to their thought's" I said honestly, I hate listening to other people's personal thought's, I made that mistake one too many times and heard stuff and image's, that I would love to burn from my mind.

"Ruby, I know you hate doing it, but you need to, you need to know if they are planning on attacking you so you can be prepared, they talk to each other through their mind links, so you will hear all conversation that are happening with the person you focus on" she said.

"Okay mom, I will see what their planning when I get into the lunch room, I will talk to you later" I said.

"Okay honey, I will see you soon" she answered before she hung up.
