"Mommy, are you ok?" Arthur said stepping towards me.

"No! Stay back!" I yell not wanting to hurt them. Arthur retreats back behind Alex.

"Kids, go to the living room." Alex said and they quickly run away.

"I-I don't wa-want to hu-rt you." I say stepping back slowly.

"Your not going to." Alex says.

"How do you know?" I ask.

"I trust you won't." He says.

"I can't control this. I don't even know what this is." I say gesturing to my hands.

"I have to tell you something." He says.

"What?" I ask.

"The same thing just happened to me a moment ago." He says. I stare at him in shock. Then there was a knock at the door.

(Alex's POV- Moments Earlier)

I am sat in my office. Well, the one at my house. Elena's in the kitchen and the kids are in the living room. I have been looking through some papers for work. I also have been taken notes on how we can help some of our patients. Since I am the head of the Surgery Department, it's my job to look at all of our patients papers to see how we can cure them.

I pick up a paper that says the name Emma Rose. She is a 10 year old girl who is one of my favorite patients. Unfortunately she has cancer and might not make it to 11. An idea pops in my head and I pick up my pen. As soon as I go to write it down my stupid pen decides not to work. I guess I have to go get one now.

I get up and make my way up the stairs to my room. I walk past Arthur's room and look in seeing the sticky glow in the dark stars that he had on his ceiling. I stop mid-walk because something flashes in my eyes.

~Flashback~

Its our last night in Lestar, the sky looked amazing at night. The stars sparkle and dance on the inky night sky. I took my eyes off of the sky and start to walk towards Elena.

"Shouldn't you be preparing for the portal? Or insulting people dead mothers?" She snapped at me.

I sighed.

"Listen, I'm sorry about that. I really am." I say, my voice full of sadness.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to. Why would you even say that in the first place? You know that her mother is a sensitive subject for her to talk about." She said/asked. I exhale in aggravation.

"I don't know! I was angry at myself for letting power get to my head! Can you tell her I said sorry? She's probably never going to speak to me again." I say/ask.

She glanced at me and I gave her a pleading look. She looks up at the stars once more.

"You know what I wish? I wish that we didn't have t leave Lestar. I wish that we could have our powers back. I wish things could be different. But we can't change the inevitable. And leaving Lestar and going back home is one  of those things" She said. I turn to look at her.
